To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaThere were fees for parking $30 a day and you had to go park off site. There were floaties in the pool. And a ring around it. Seems like they had not cleaned in months. Toilet in our room had a ring of filth. The pull out bed was hard and had springs poking you when ou laid down in it. One tiny sample of shampoo and conditioner left in a room for 5 people three days. Got charged a deposit on my debit and my credit card. They argued with me that the credit card was just pending but it is still charged for the amount of $118.00 four days after check out.

CanadaPull out couch was not cleaned prior to arrival. Upon opening the couch, we discovered food and crumbs throughout the bed. The mattress was dirty and stained and there was no sheets/bedding provided. We immediately informed the front desk and the employee apologized & sent a member of cleaning staff to our room. Once the cleaning staff arrived, they gave us bedding & then inspected the bed for the food. They saw the food and then asked if we really needed the bed cleaned or could we just brush it off.
The location was very convenient, off site parking was reasonably close to the hotel. Management at checkout was excellent.

CanadaNot being able to park my car in the parking lot the following day. I checked in on Saturday and was charged $50 for parking but had to leave by 11am. So for 12hrs of parking I feel I got ripped off. We had a dance competition and were leaving later on the afternoon and was told we would have to pay for another day of parking. Complete BS

The jacuzzi was fill out very fast. I had a lot of towels available to use. The heater/cooling very easy to use. The view was perfect
