Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaMy only complaint was I didn’t realize there was construction happening so there was a tapping sound in the afternoon…but not really loud.
Gorgeous room. Super close to the Port Theatre. I left something behind and they arranged to send it to me.

CanadaThe elevator from the underground parking was down, and there was no stairwell to the parking garage. This required walking a block up a steep hill in an alleyway with about two inches of slush and snow on the ground. All while carrying luggage. Not ideal, but these things happen. I could have really used that breakfast, but the front desk staff were busy and simply said "breakfast is up there." I walked into the restaurant and looked around, but nobody was there, and there was no breakfast to be found. I was short on time, so after waiting for a few minutes I had to leave without having eaten. Looked like a nice place for breakfast if it had been on offer?
Room was clean, location was good, and the parking situation would have been great had the elevator been working. The cost included a $25 breakfast of some sort, which might have been good if anyone had been there to serve said breakfast.

Saudi ArabiaParking was odd, the hotel parking was hard with luggage, and the hotel staff suggested we take our bags out of the vehicle right in front of the hotel on the street... which was a little weird.
The views from the rooms were amazing. The location right at the habor was beautiful. We had two corner rooms, both were large and clean and well equipped. The breakfast, although not included, was lovely. The staff were very helpful with finding places in the area.

Front staff was excellent but a little more checking of rooms might help. Our remote didn’t work due to batteries. Secondly the two pop machines wouldn’t accept our cards and then said “updating” and stopped working. Finally there was an alarm that went off at about four in the morning they kept telling everyone things are ok. Why have an alarm to tell you not to be alarmed? Surely there’s a way to work with a silent alarm for personnel and only turn it on if we need to be alerted.

United States of AmericaThe hallway to our room was a bit worn and smelled a bit musty. We were told the hotel is renovating all its floors, so that should fix the issue. The room itself was very nice and clean.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was very nice, with a good view.

CanadaVideo choice (cable tv only) is primitive and disappointing.
Great location. Very comfortable beds. I wish the showers had wands instead of fixed shower heads, but I understand why (you don't want water spraying everywhere). Please improve the tea and coffee self serve equipment and choices in the rooms. Please add some video entertainment like Netflix and Pay Per View. Basic cable only is primitive.

CanadaWe were Very upset that the safety of our vehicle and the contents inside could not be guaranteed when parked in the paid parking facility offered . For a 'higher end' hotel, thats Terrible! It was clear, by the arrival of fire trucks and police cars to the hotel just after our arrival ( & not by any means...late in the evening) that safety in the area is very questionable. I would not recommend this as a family hotel at all.
Our room ...room amenities & comfort was very good. The hotel staff were great.....our hotel clerk went Above his duties to ensure our stay was safe & our belongings as well.

United States of AmericaMore time!
The spa tub in the room with a view of the harbor was spectacular. A past girlfriend that I hadn't seen in 35 years totally agrees with me! No. Really. She agrees with me about the room -- AND totally agrees with me now! I highly recommend the restaurant, Asteras Taverna. It's either a long walk or a short drive, but worth the effort. The woman who checked us in was terrific and later a gentleman helped with restaurant recommendations and even made a few phone calls for us.
