I noticed some electrical work that had been done that doesn't meet code at this location. 1. Exposed nmd lumex in the bedroom that should be incased in Armored jacket or pipe. Noticed other stuff but I was there for leasure not work.

7020 Gray avenue, Old facilities looks like haunted house from outside, bed & linen need immediate upgradation. Area from road to entrance need proper lighting.

The host's treatment regarding the payment method. They didn't want me to pay through the booking portal. If they don't want payments with credit cards, then they should allow me to cancel with a full refund and not keep me cornered and be forced to stay at their place.

The assigned room was dirty when the light was turned on, the floor and the wall were dirty with stains and a lot of dust for a long time, it was a matter of continuing to move the bed to see garbage from many types there. It was almost 12:00 am and with the laughter of people drinking beer you couldn't sleep the next day at 6 am and the people were making a lot of noise holding doors etc... it's not really for resting :(

The self-service lockbox was physically hard to open — it took me several minutes of trying (even with the correct PIN) before I was able to get it to open.

The rooms are the only place who is not clean. So the floor is not clean. I was the first person arriving in the dormitory and the floor was dirty.

It’s cheap compare to the hostel around Vancouver. There is many restroom and bathroom. It’s functional. Good for the price

check-in was not easy. a bit of a logistical nightmare given you can't reserve and pay for booking on booking.com. checking and payment is done through whatsapp with the owner upon arrival (if she's sleeping, you're out of luck), and they changed the lock code on me while I was asleep and I didn't check my phone and got locked out at night.

this is the most affordable place given the location. and they have cleaners to tidy up the place almost every day.

The whole house is a bit run-down and needs some maintenance. There is no staff on-site so all the interactions were by text. Confirming the booking and paying in advance required a number of extra steps that took longer than I expected.

We really enjoyed that the location was so convenient to the Metrotown transit station, but was on a very quiet residential street. The other guests were also quiet and pleasant to interact with. Price was very reasonable.

First of all, it was mentioned as a hotel accommodation but it was more of a hostel living experience. The calls to owner was not received and had to communicate in whatsapp (responses were very quick though which helped my stay).

Kitchen is pretty bad and needs a few new things to make it useful. The oven/cooktop was terrible but we made it work for us. Only one shower/bathroom on our level. Lots of rules!

This has to be the cheapest place a backpacking family in Vancouver could stay. We had flight issues so needed something fast. Comms on WhatsApp were quick. 5 of us were jammed in a medium sized room with toilet attached. Good for hardened backpackers like us...don't expect much!

There were no places nearby to purchase food (no stores or restaurants).

My teen son and I only stayed in the room overnight after an evening sporting event. It was basic and met our needs.

He declined payment after they sent a message about payment options, plus100 $ deposit and a payment fee 6% which is not mentioned on the booking website also he communicates only by SMS, not a phone call. the room is too small. The check-in is after 4 pm before that time he charges extra.

Well i cant say much. Even though i was told of the mixed dormitory, i had a culture shock with reality.. I was the only female amongs men. In a mixed 5 bed dormitory room. I didn't like that., It made me uncomfortable. I was expecting to see at least one female in my room. I was afraid to close my eyes.
