Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Liked everything about it! Possibly a bit overpriced for a small room but Copenhagen is expensive!
Excellent location. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Had a few issues with extra room keys and shower not working but they were all dealt with immediately. Very good breakfast.

Bathroom was old and needed refurbishing. Drain is poorly regulated. In general, shower system is inconvenient, and the shower is not isolated well enough - half of the floor would be flooded after each shower.
Location was great, stuff friendly (even helped us with finding a running route), room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The facilities are a bit dated: there were visible cracks in the sink's surface.

Pillows and bed could’ve been a little comfier but that’s honestly not significant

The window of my room faced the street which meant that I had to keep it closed the whole time I was in the room, it also meant that streetlights were bleeding into my room at night which made it slightly more difficult to sleep.
The staff were very friendly and the lobby was a very nice place to be. The location is good and the breakfast buffet is of a good standard. The room was comfortable and kept to a good standard.

The room with a courtyard view is not so beautiful, but should not matter as you anyway do sightseeing outside, and ideally just have a good sleep in there.
The location of the hotel is extra-ordinary, facing the main canal. Staff is absolutely friendly. The room was just enough for 2 people, and the beds are very comfortable. They offered a great breakfast as well as have a beer tap the have drink at the end of the day. Absolutely central location, great starting point to explore the city of Copenhagen.

Room was small. No restaurant in hotel (but lots nearby if you turn left out the door.
Good location on the waterfront and close to the old city / mermaid etc. Breakfast was very good

Only complaint is lack of USB charging in the room. Courtyard view was also not exactly beautiful, so upgrade to river view if it matters to you.
Great location and clean Danish style. Room was smallish (as expected), but perfect for my solo needs. It was clean and decorated very cozily. Breakfast buffet was really fantastic. Staff was very genial.

Nothing really - the venue met our needs well.

The staff were amazing. Spent NYE here in the cosy bar playing board games and watched fireworks out the front. Great location on canal and close to Nyhavn. Awesome breakfast. Great value

There wasn't anything I disliked personally. However, my son found his pillow uncomfortable.
Good location Family contacted rooms great. Rooms nice and warm. Lots of hot water. Staff are helpful and friendly. We gave a score of 8 out of 10 for our stay. We couldn't give a score higher as we didn't have breakfast, use bar or any other facilities on offer. Therefore, I am unable to comment.

Shower in bath very big step and would not be good for elderly etc.

1. Room on the 1st floor has window to the hotel's courtyard / next building. So rather dark and close to the other building's windows. But to be fair - this was a standard single room so no surprise. 2. It was clean overall but there were some streaks on the bathtub glass. 3. Pillows to high but this is just me nitpicking. 4. Poor coffee.
1. Great location. Close to the most important landmarks. Nice promenade surroundings. 2. Good breakfast. Proper variety of food also including tasty examples of Danish cousine. Ginger homemade shot was a nice touch. 3. Proper mattress. 4. Nice staff.
