First and foremost is the staff. they were very polite, accommodating, helpful, and unbelievably fast. To put it into perspective, I made request calls from the 4th floor, and around 60 seconds later I found my request by the door. No other hotels do this. The room was quiet, had an A/C, and was vintage but comfy and extremely clean with no sign of wear and tear. The location is at the center of everything. plus you have many grocery stores outside the hotel just in case you need something.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff is friendly and.gracious.. Our room 608 was smallish but sufficient and equipped with all contemporary fixtures and amenities. Best of all, we had an outdoor patio almost as large as the room. Nice location. Very little noise even though the local streets are ALL under construction. Very good buffet breakfast at 12 Euro. Good restaurant recommendations from front desk.

The room was somewhat below our expectations. The photos depicted spacious rooms with large windows, but in reality, it was not quite so. It was just a room of standard size with a standard-sized window. However, there was a bonus terrace. Instead of a duvet cover, there were two sheets, which felt very unhygienic and inconvenient. The tap at the sink had very sharp edges, making it easy to hurt oneself while washing with closed eyes.

On the positive side, the staff were delightful and accommodating, allowing us an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated. The room was clean, featuring a pleasant wooden floor throughout, except for the bathroom, and offered a warm and cosy atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was excellent, and the internet was moderately good.

The massive construction outside - windows were too thin so had to sleep with earplugs but didn’t really help. Think they should have offer guests free breakfast or something when having such a big construction right outside… Breakfast was good - but please serve real bread and not bake-off, make a smaller buffet and put more love into it. It’s a 4 star hotel so we expected it to be more tasteful..

I really have to stretch here to come up with anything to criticize, but the pillows were a little little on the flat side.

I had a lovely room on the front side of the building with a small balcony. The bed was comfortable. The room was a fine size and the location of the hotel is really good. The staff is outstanding from the front desk to the young woman who worked at the bar and the breakfast room to the bartender, in their small but lovely bar in the evenings.

Payment management is confusing! Booked at Hotel Barcelona Colonial and Pena Telera has deducted from master card first night. Didn't know that both are the same! Mastercard had been blocked through the Bank. Hotel should informed me in anyway to know that Pena Telera is Hotel Barcelona Colonial. Pictures of the room don't match in real. Near bed smells like a mold and in Bathroom no functional ventilation.

Stuff are friendly and helpful! Location is great near to most attractive locations to see in the city.
