My room was large and bright. The kitchenette had everything I needed to prepare meals. It was a 10 minute walk to the sea.

There was no variation in the breakfast. I was there for a week and the same items were served. Beds could be more comfortable.

The staff was incredibly friendly and patient. I don't speak Spanish or Catalan but they made all the efforts to ensure I was heard and understood. They literally helped me navigate Barcelona. I was able to purchase a sim card, buy groceries and use public transportation all through their guidance.

The cleaning wasn't good. There were many hairs leftover from the previous guests all over the bathroom, in the sink, in the shower, and on the floors. There was cleaning every day, but it didn't seem to do much. The floors were always still dirty immediately afterwards, with hairs everywhere still. The breakfast was quite poor. Either large croissants or simple sandwiches and a single cup of coffee. No AC The wifi only lasted 2 hours at a time, and wasn't very strong either.

The residence is a bit old and the standards are obviously not that of a hotel. The room had an unpleasant smell (mostly due to the sheets that smelled like mold) and there was some accumulated dirt in appliances. The cleaning services are not great (had to ask for refills of basic toiletries). The isolation is not great, expect to hear noise from the outside and other rooms.

Efficient check-in/check-out and available staff. I had some issues with the room that were quickly solved. The location is nice, with both subway and tram nearby (in addition to buses).

I wouldn’t call the breakfast a buffet style breakfast (which is what it said in the info from the hotel). You could choose either a sandwich or a pastry, as well as a hot and cold beverage.

Great location next to the Parque de la Ciutadella, and within walking distance of the beach, Sagrada Familia, Barrio Gótico and La Ramla. Very friendly staff.

The breakfast was a little shocking. Every day is the same choice between a baguette & a croissant with either juice, water or cola. I would have at least assumed you could have gotten a baguette with a croissant but it’s either/or. To call one croissant and a juice "breakfast" is very deceiving. However, you do get what you paid for so it’s up to you to decide if you want a snack rather than a breakfast. The shower also gets clogged really easily so if you have long hair just be prepared! INCREDIBLY HOT. There is no AC, and you only have a fan, and I would advise against using them as they are very dusty and you’d probably get sick using it. Just be prepared to boil in your room every day haha (Barcelona is worth it)

The location was amazing - easily accessing any part of Barcelona. The staff were very nice and accommodating - especially the cleaners who were very sweet! The reception is open 24/7 which is amazing if you are someone who likes to go clubbing and have a problem in the middle of the night. The rooms are standard. They are exactly what a student accommodation is like so if you’re looking for a hotel stay - this isn’t the place. They are rooms where multiple students have stayed in so expect it to look used. However, if you’re looking for an affordable room solely to be able to get ready, sleep and shower comfortably in this is the place.
