Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The fact that they're in the middle of renovating the hotel
The people that work there are amazing and they give great tipa on how to navigate the city and good restaurantes there as well

Due to the renovation works currently happening, the lift is not in service and breakfast facilities are not available. However, there are a lot of breakfast options available in the area.
The staff were very friendly and tried their very best to help us. The room was spacious and they accommodated for our family. The location was also great and close to key sites.

There are some constructions at the moment, but the hotel informed me upfront so I was aware before arriving for my stay and I was not bothered.
The location is great and the room is spacious, clean and comfy. Traveling alone, I also appreciate the 24h reception with very nice staff.

They did inform us close to arrival that they had maintenance works going on but I didn’t realise they would be that extensive. Noise was between 9-5pm which didn’t effect us as we were out. The rooms didn’t look like the pictures I felt which was quite misleading. They wasn’t terrible but put it this way, I wouldn’t have taken pictures and posted look at my room in Paris!
Location was good and the staff were very polite, helpful and friendly.

There was a construction on the site, and even thought we were informed (until 1 day before or arrival, I wouldn’t have gotten that place knowing that before) it was very annoying that we couldn’t take a nap due to the noise. In addition, the mini fridge was super stinky, like a dead animal was there for a long time or something. We tried to connect it to put some stuff we bought in there and it didn’t work so our stuff got ruined.
The location is good and staff is super friendly

It was overall a good hotel although not the newest. There’s an ongoing renovation but it mostly starts at about 10.00 am so it’s not a big issue if you spend most of the day sightseeing.

The staff was very friendly, competent and helpful. The Hotel kept what it promised according to the description, we were very satisfied. It was clean, the room was cleaned every day. Everything was right in terms of price. I would recommend the Hotel.

1. the location is not convenient if you don't have a car and are traveling by train and need to rely on public transportation you would have to walk uphill and/or take the Bus - note that Bus systems stops after 7pm and is not very frequent. There is no Uber service and Taxis are very expensive and not easy to obtain. 2. there is no AC and windows do not have screens, therefore we could not open the windows during the night as there were a lot of bugs coming from outside and the cabin gets pretty warm during the summer. 3. The property is not on the ground floor as indicated in the picture - the picture of the entrance of the property is misleading. There are stairs you have to carry your luggage down the long stairs which is considered the first floor.
Views were amazing! and the cabin was in excellent conditions very clean and comfortable - I loved all the amenities. Kitchen was excellent and love they left cleaning supplies for us. Also, the host is very friendly.
