Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

France1 - I have no complaints as such. It's all you should expect for the money 2 - On-street parking where one was very lucky to find a place. But I say again, good enough value-for-money.
All went well. About 200m from a sweet little urban centre where I saw a lovely little electric town bus, a bit like a cupboard on casters!

IrelandIt's not fancy by any means but it was good value for money and most importantly, it was clean.
The man at the desk was very nice and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, beds comfy - it was a good experience. No on-site parking but we were able to park closeby without any hassle and there is another hotel carpark close-by that can be used.

IrelandThe building seems strange at first, it is definitely a converted office block and the reception is off to a side and down some stairs, so the entrance and hallway is not that welcoming, a bit shabby.
Hotel was in a good location, close to trams and less than 10 minute walk to the cathedral. The guy on the desk was really helpful, giving us map, directions and restaurant recommendation. Always nice when breakfast is included, and the shower in the room was pretty good.

BelgiumThe facility looks like it's falling g apart. I have stayed in many Bugdet hotels from IBIS, this one has the lowest rate when it comes to the facilities, the cleaness and how comfortable it was. The rooms are very small, the stairs in the common area was covered with dirt, the elevator was Out of service, and there is no dedicated parking. The only convenient parking is from the hotel next door and closes its port at 22h30. Then you need to find a parking parking spot in the vicinity of the hotel. My room card kept been deactivated for reasons unknown. One day after a wedding party I had to wait in front of the room with my kids at 4 am in the morning for almost 15 mn because the card was not working. They did not put enough towels in the bedrooms even though it was a family room we took.I had to ask extra towels each time. And there was no bath mat neither.
I liked The breakfast à volonté, the location, closed to the city and public transportation. The Quietness in the evening. The staff was really helpful and friendly.

United KingdomNo off road parking. Courtyard parking was for Mercure guests only despite lots of space. We overlooked this courtyard. Female staff were very friendly, one male receptionist later in the afternoon - miserable. Could not bother to even look up. Kept his eye on his laptop and barely gave answers to question. He really did not want to be there.
Breakfast good value. Stayed at many Ibis and very few give breakfast included in the price.

NetherlandsUnfriendly staff at the reception. Could not find my reservation and when he did he could not find the payment which I already made when I made the reservation. Two extra pillows also seemed a lot of extra work. And there were no plates available at all at the breakfastbuffet. Not when I asked for it either. How should I prepare my bread? On a paper napkin. Strange....

PortugalBreakfast used to have more options and be more agreeable before the pandemic. Unfortunately, the receptionist who received us when we arrived there made a mistake with the tourist tax, which forced me to file a complaint later on.
The location is great, in a very quiet street and so near the city centre. The rooms are small but comfortable and the shower is great. The atmosphere in the hotel was very quiet, so I could have a good rest at night.

United KingdomBreakfast was poor - The products were OK (as expected for a budget hotel and cheap price) but no plates, wooden cutlery and nothing to eat the cereal with - our 8 year old was eating his cereal from a paper coffee cup using a wooden tea spoon! Not the end of the world but a little too cheap....
Standard Ibis Budget (with triple rooms) and Air-Conditioning (good in June) only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Basic and clean - as expected for the brand. Free street parking if you lucky.

IrelandThe wheelchair access was very troublesome. we had to enter through the parking gate at the back of the hotel. The accessible bathroom had only one angled bar to the sidebar the toilet instead of two parallel bars. this makes it impossible for a person without the use of their legs to do a parallel lift.
The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful.
