Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel was renovated during Covid lock downs. Everything has been updated. The rooms are very comfortable. The thalasso spa and pool area is great and the treatments were superb. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and now can deal with guests in various languages besides French. All around, it was an excellent stay in all respects. A particular thanks to all the wonderful staff at the hotel and bar and redtaurant!

Everything perfect for me.

Children under 12 cannot use the swimming or spa facilities at all. This is very much an adult hotel. This is something that was not immediately obvious when we booked but was the first message we received from the hotel after we had made our non refundable booking and on check in. It needs to be much clearer on the Booking.com site to avoid disappointment

Wonderful warm sea water pool and spa area that you can just step out onto the beach from. And easily access back to your room. Superb terasse restaurant with healthy excellent food. Perfect.

Not ´family friendly ´ in terms of the pool especially. The property is focused on the ´health spa’ scene. Unfortunately we were looking for a family ´resort’ holiday. It was not suitable for that.

We arrived at midnight after EasyJet cancelled our flight. The staff were very welcoming, found us the rooms we requested and made all their late night guests much calmer.

I think the restaurant needs an upgrade. The view is terrific but the food and wine were only adequate. They have a Michelin star restaurant around the corner. They should strike a bargain with the chef from L'Essentiel to do their dinners.

I would have liked warmer spa temperatures and early morning access.
I had a gorgeous room with a balcony and views out over the beach and sea. The renovated hotel is gorgeous and very stylish. Plenty of space and bespoke finishes!

The breakfast room was not very well organised and whilst breakfast was included, at the room price I would have expected to be served with coffee and not have to use a machine. The hot food on offer was also disappointing.

The only thing that I don't understand is that everyone needs to wear a bathing cap and Speedo swimshorts. This is not modern and some people with hairs all over the body are allowed to swim there anywhere.
The Spa was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and obliging.

I wish the spa/gym areas were open earlier and later, like 7am-11pm. Why not?
The spa is heavenly, I could stay there all day! I noticed that there was a door directly to the beach from the large indoor heated pool area. It was raining during my stay, but next time I will definitely go for a cold dip in the ocean!
