Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Convenient location in regards to our travel plans. Breakfast room had a lovely glass corner with a view to a busy street and a nearby park.

IsraelThe room we got was definitely not the one posted on booking.com but rather an old, outdated one. None of that light, bright decor in the pictures. Staff was okay but rather short - when we asked questions we got very brief answers, when we asked for recommendations for nearby restaurants he just waved at us and said "there are a lot out there". I do have eyes, and I can see there's much out there, but that's not the point of asking for a recommendation...
Good location, the room we got was 5th floor with a lift, comfortable with lots of space, the bed was large and super comfy, you can see the top of the Sacre Couer from the window which is a small balcony - great for some fresh air and taking in the Parisian atmosphere.

Israelin terms of the metro, the nearest station was not accessible to central places in the city and I had to go to more distant stations. The room is small. The shower too. There was no mini bar as it was written on the website, only after I asked was it brought to my room. The water in the shower was warm, not hot enough
I liked the location. I really liked the balcony with the view of the square. . But in the overall experience I enjoyed and would recommend the hotel.

United KingdomThe hotel could have provided bottled water every day instead of just on the first day. Slippers could have been provided as well.
The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to commute around, and it offers reasonable prices.

GermanyThe bathroom had no heating. We stayed there in January. So, it was very cold. We could hear a rumbling sound every few minutes, as if a train is passing by. Not sure what that noise really was.
Good location. Lots of good restaurants and cafes around. Walking distance to Sacre Coeur (~20min) and Opera square (~20min).

United KingdomThe shower is tiny. The room got a bit hot even though we were in winter. It would be nice to have coffee making facilities.
The beds are very comfortable, the location is fantastic, the rooms are small but large enough and sound proof from the traffic. The location is close to Gare de Nord but also walking distance to all the main attractions. It’s close to Montmartre, the Louvre and the left bank. It’s my second time staying here. There is plenty of food on offer for breakfast

AustraliaThere was some noise from the renovation in the building during my stay - I guess this is temporary. Room is small, but hey, that is Paris. The bathroom is good; my only issue is the shower cubicle is tiny, almost too small to wash in - fine for short term stay, might be a problem for longer stays.
Excellent location right near Cadet metro station, helpful and polite staff, superior cleanliness. Wifi was great. Window can open, and upper floors have picturesque view of Paris. Room safe was a useful addition. Everything felt secure for a woman traveller. Plenty of convenient cafes for breakfast and lunch, restaurants for dinner, plus nearby pharmacy etc.

SingaporeWith lift, small room but within expectation as well. Bath room cabinet is really small that will knock when turning around. Location is good, Nearby with Chinese food which is a good point when craving. McD, metro and pharmacy also near by. Staff is good, room no fridge but they willing to help put in kitchen fridge temporary and can heat up my breakfast using microwave. Just sometimes wifi may be weak.

IrelandBathroom door handle was broken, so couldn't close the door (this wasn't a big issue).
The location was ideal - 10 min walk to Gare Du Nore, and as long as you have comfortable shoes on, a nice walk to Sacre Coeur/Montmartre and Moulin Rouge. Rooms were small, as standard in Paris hotels, but clean, bathroom looked recently renovated. We requested a quiet room, so had the last room on the corridor - wasn't very noisy, so long as the window/doors were closed to street noise.

PortugalThe walls are not sound proof in the slightest, so if you're a light sleeper you will have a hard time. The rooms are quite small. The bed was somewhat dirty with hair. Not very friendly staff, but from what I heard it's a common issue in Paris.
The beds were comfortable and the location is close to the city center. The area is also safe and accessible by transportation.
