Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgThere was no minibar/fridge in the room. One of the single beds in the second bedroom was right next to a sloping wall, which makes it a bit uncomfortable and limits your space when turning in bed. Breakfast was disappointing - no eggs, nor bacon, nor pancakes or anything warm. There was bowl with raw eggs which guests were supposed to boil themselves in a tiny boiler, which to me is absurd.
I stayed with my family (2 adults and 2 kids) in the Junior suite for a couple of nights over Easter. The suite was ok. It has a nice terrace overlooking a quiet back yard. The hotel is perfect for tourists as it is really well located within a short proximity of both the Cathedral and Petite France. It has an elevator, which even though is tiny, it could still fit a stroller. There is a paid parking nearby.

United States of AmericaThe morning attendant must have been working alone. I got very little help deciphering my breakfast, and it took some several minutes to find her for checking out, even while ringing the bell as requested.
The attendant that assisted me in the evening checking in was very helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and orderly. The location in the city is great, being able to see such a beautiful city right outside the door.

SwitzerlandAs it is close to the main road, a bit noisy. Old style, with some bugs in the room upon arrival.
The location was nice, close to the tram. Walking distance also to the city center.

SwitzerlandAs a vegetarian, although the food was excellent, I found there was a lack of choice. It was difficult to access some of the plugs in the bedroom, and the number was limited - especially next to the bed.
The hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the city centre by tram or on foot. The room was comfortable, we particularly like the kettle facility. The pool and jacuzzi were good and conveniently located. Breakfast was excellent, good choice and good coffee and the restaurant offered good quality Alsatian dishes at good prices. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were very helpful and accommodating. Very good Wifi connections.

United States of AmericaThe air conditioning unit worked well cooling the main bedroom, but the separate small bedroom for the kids stayed warm.
We stayed in the suite, which was perfect for our family of four. The pool/spa facility was very nice (it's in a separate location nearby and cost 20 Euros to use). The breakfast was also nice (it cost an extra 12 euros per person).

FranceRoom size could have been bigger but can't complain as it was comfortable nevertheless, overall. Staff entered room while locked and without waiting for us to open on first day so need some checks there. Otherwise, great stay.
Great location, friendly staff, spa is a +. Comfortable air conditioned rooms, good views to the cathedral.

United KingdomWe were in the annex and the room was rather bland and modern, not one of the quirky rooms pictured. There was a lot of street noise at night and our mattress was uncomfortable, so we slept badly.
The traditional part of the hotel is lovely with a fine restaurant and breakfast room. The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. It was great to have a small pool and spa on site which we used on a rainy day. Our room was very clean with a good shower. The location was good, close to the cathedral, a tram stop and several cafes/restaurants.
