Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSee above re parking. No one able to help with bags so had to leave case in car. Slightly damp in room.
We didn’t have breakfast. We always ask for parking but this parking was in an underground car park a long way from hotel. The dog was happy when we got to room as he had a small garden.

The stairs to breakfast room was disgustingly dirty… glass missing from the old bookcase …
Nothing about this hotel Dirty …dated …drab …not inviting ….nothing like the pictures on the website…. Down a back street …. Expensive…. Not easy to get to from the main road … deceptive about parking

IndiaIt needs to undergo a full maintenance. The wifi was not working. The lift was not working. The carpets are old and worn out. The chairs are sagging.
The location is the only good part of this hotel.

AustraliaThis property was not like the photos on the website. While the customer service was satisfactory, the property was old and and looked like it needed to be 'freshened up". Very disappointed when i saw the inside of the property. Location was fair as it was a short walk from the tram stop.

MalaysiaThe room was a little on the small side, but for such an old building it was a small inconvenience.
Excellent location with easy walking to almost all of the major attractions, food and shopping districts, with 2 x Michelin Star Restaurants right downstairs within 30m of the front door. All of the staff reception, breakfast restaurant and cleaning were exceptionally helpful happy and a pleasure to deal with. Having the iconic Montpellier Cathedral as a backdrop view from our windows was an added bonus (also a great landmark to find your way home).

New ZealandWe spent 2 nights but it took a while to know the locations of the lightbulb switches in the hallway. I couldn't find the light switch in the beginning on the hallway so I walked into a wall and hurt my shoulder. The buttons should be illuminated to make things easier... Another time I almost walked into a mirror in the hallway that was on the leftside of a righthand corner... (I didn't see myself in the mirror since I was facing the mirror in a 45degree angle and it looked like the correct way). Better bring your own torchlight. Also the parking didn't work out as planned. The staff handed us an extra ticket that needs to be inserted at the parking before inserting the ticket we got when we parked the car. These instructions are clear. But what we were told was that the extra ticket cuts the parking price into half which is not true. The extra ticket actually has the info on how many days the car will be parked, so if you happen to move your car before, you will pay the price from the final day instead. Because we went on a day trip and moved the car, we payed the price for 2 days with discount. We told the staff and they were sorry (a different person this time) and they gave us another extra ticket for the last night. In total we didn't pay the full parking but also we couldn't save the money we thought we would save. It was probably 3/4 of the regular price that we payed instead of 1/2 I think.
Great location in the very center! The parking lot is only a few minutes in walking distance. Friendly staff. Our room was very quiet. Many great restaurants nearby

United KingdomNot a very good welcome (I had had a stressful journey in the summer heat). At first I was offered a dingy room on the ground floor that gave on to the abandoned 'garden'. But then I was given my room on 3rd floor - nice! In general the hotel was a bit gloomy, the decor everywhere was tired, the reception area unwelcoming. The breakfast area on a terrace was pleasant enough but the breakfast was not too good - weak coffee, pasteurised orange juice, not great pastries ... It all seemed expensive... but I guess one paid for the location!
Big room on 3rd floor with lovely cathedral view. Good aircom! Most of the staff were lovely. The location was fantastic - near to Place de la Canourge with its great eateries and wine bar. Next door to great bakery for coffee and croissants. Also near to Jardin des Plantes (closed Mondays only open from 11am). Shortish walk to most places in the old town. Lovely receptionist ordered a 'velo-taxi' (bike-taxi) for me to go to the station on departure which was perfect!

Recent stay at a room on the first floor was excellent, so we expected similar quality. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
