Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFacilities are old and generally need fixing. Staff is the rudest I’ve ever met and I been to many countries and hotels. They really make you feel like you are causing them problems by staying at the hotel. You also has to hand in the key when leaving and it is very clear that they don’t really know who stays where so if you unlucky someone could very easily get into your room which made me bring all valuables with me at all time.
Great location but that’s about it.

Germanycleanliness was poor. Breakfast room services
Room- It was not clean when we reached. Also we found that the window was not working properly. The door was having key problems. The carpet was not clean. The washroom was very small that you will feel cringed while using it. Location- The location is nice, you have metros station nearby and lots of markets. Breakfast- The staff was not very polite. They were serving the breakfast and didn't even consider simple request we asked for.

GermanyThe facilities are not only outdated but some of them are horrible. The rag in the room looked very dirty and despite the everyday cleaning I was not willing to step on it barefoot. There was a super dirty and useless chair in my room that wasn't serving any purpose. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom in the room. The neighborhood although quite central can be seen as sketchy and my female friend felt a bit insecure. She told me she wouldn't live in the room if she was alone or only with a girl.
The staff was very friendly, always available to help. The location is very convenient and central, a few minutes away walking from the East train station. Also close to some other monuments. There was a cleaning person coming every day which was convenient. The breakfast although small was decent to start your day.

DenmarkThe smells of the room maybe the one who used it before me smoked inside and the blanket is very old
The location is very good its just near the metros, police station and some tourist attractions. The staff were good the only thing is that the room is smelly like cigarettes and the blankets are quiet old. I suggest that if they csn change with a new with no holes on it

Czech RepublicEven though it's a low cost hotel, I think it's a duty of the owner to remove the mold from the shower. Otherwise it's okay. Nice people, warm hotel, warm water. The mold in the shower was not nice though.
Price was very good, the hotel was warm.

CanadaBed bugs! Probably not entirely the hotel's fault since the whole city was overrun during my stay. Also the mattresses could really use an upgrade, the springs were definitely poking out.
The location was fantastic and the staff very friendly.

United KingdomFront desk staff were disinterested. The toilet facilities were atrocious. I stayed in the last room on the top floor and had to walk all the way along a long corridor to use the toilet and down a floor for the shower. There is a singular shower for two floors. I paid the city tax in cash on arrival. On check out I informed the front desk staff that I had paid this but after I checked out, my card was charged the city tax. I gave the hotel two opportunities to respond to my messages about this but as mentioned before, they are disinterested.
The breakfast of tea/coffee, a juice, bread and a croissant was the redeeming factor of this hotel. The breakfast staff were nice.

AustraliaThis is very black-centred area, so lots of noises from street (they never sleep) which I couldn't block it out as there is no air-conditioner ( not even a fan), so I had to let it open the window all the time. Staffs are NOT not friendly but French-friendly.
I really didn't have much expectation as Paris was fully booked for Rugby Worldcup and I could only find this hotel in the city for reasonable price, I knew the area is very black so expect that into your account. However, location is great as there are 5 metro lines are very close and restaurants and shops are within reach even at late hours.

GermanyI think the only issue is that there is only 1 bathroom and shower perf floor, imagine that an average of 10 room per floor using the same bathroom or shower make everything complicated, is like queuing for the Eiffel Tower The room is quite small but I guess is fair for the price. Nothing fancy. smell like an old, musty room
The place is fine, is an old building with a weird small in the room but fine. The bathroom and shower are outside the room, and only one per floor. The location is nice, close to the train station. I think the place is fine for stay one night. Breakfast is also good, basic but tasty. The staff are nice, all of them.
