Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceTout était bien!
The hotel was well situated a couple of minutes from the station and close to the centre of Nîmes and it’s attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and pleasant. The breakfast had lots of choices and was good value

NetherlandsOur shower was up a step, which made getting in and out of it sometimes tricky. Otherwise, we were totally pleased.
A charming, clean little hotel in an ideal location, a short stroll from both the train station and the historic old city centre. Staff was friendly and helpful, with excellent recommendations for sights and restaurants.

United KingdomNot the fault of the hotel, but there were improvements to the roads going on outside, and you had to watch where you were putting your feet.
I use this hotel quite a bit. It is within easy walking distance of the railway station, but there is no noise from the trains. It is a short walk to the centre, and there are plenty of places to eat in the old town.

United KingdomThere's not 24 hour reception. Late arrivals have to let themselves in. The optional breakfast was hit and miss. While there was an excellent range of teas, fresh bread, pastries and fruit, the hot components were luke warm. For the same cost we had a far superior breakfast at Farmers, a five minute walk away in the old town. Maybe they stick to a simpler breakfast of bread and pastries at a lower cost in future? Only one towel per person provided. No hand towels, only on request.
It's perfectly located near to the railway station, we're interrailing so that's important to us. It's also in a quiet location, and in a beautiful building with a sweeping staircase. Information about the city, places to eat and visit were provided on arrival, by helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were quick to respond to queries and requests for additional shampoo and loo rolls as we had left the Do not Disturb sign in error so housekeeping had not been able to check. We booked an extra night directly as our travel plans had changed last minute. I would happily stay there again but maybe upgrade the room.

The hotel is in a beautiful old town house in a quiet side street between the train station and city centre. Very convenient location, especially as I arrived late at night. Comfortable bed and own bathroom with heated towel rail and hairdryer. Spacious room with a kettle, and a table & chair for sitting with a drink.

United KingdomNot the fault of the hotel, but there were a lot of roadworks going on nearby, so you have to choose your route carefully at the moment.
This is a nice clean hotel, close to the railway station (but not so close as to be noisy) and within easy walking distance of the town centre. The staff are very friendly, and I always enjoy staying here.

JapanI arrived around noon and wanted to leave my luggage, but the entrance was closed and I couldn't get in even though I called. An elderly couple other than us had been waiting at the entrance for a while, so I would like to ask them to respond immediately.
Facilities and location were good. In particular, the male staff member who helped me was very kind and offered advice on how to get to Pont du Gard.

The location was fantastic. Right by the train, right by the city walk, just beautiful. The room was good, the mattress was a little hard. But that is so personal of a choice. The staff was kind, helpful and English speakers. Well taken care of.
