Sometime's I think it is a bit too dark during diner and breakfast. A bit more light would be nice.

We stayed in Mama Shelter several times. The comfort and atmosphere is really good. Also breakfast and diner (both the restaurant and the pizzeria). Mama Shelter East is easy to reach by car.

Mama shelter was great. Jade was wonderful and everyone so friendly. Lovely atmosphere and quirky decor. A really fun stay, even if we are now more young at heart than actually young.

The bar was open until 1:30 am and you can hear everything. Then 20 minutes was spent scraping the chairs across the floor to put the chairs back after people had left. Poor toiletries which was disappointing. I would definitely stay here again as the staff make it such a relaxed atmosphere

Cars standing on the loading places without loading A weekend Breakfast end at 11.00 a.m is an absolute no go. that is a service from before yesterday ...people go out at night, late to bed, then not a single coffee is available at 12.00 that is a shame ...

The breakfast service was rather chaotic - ran out of cutlery, juice, coffee, cups and glasses which were eventually replaced following requests from customers. The staff were charming as always but need to be more proactive at very busy times. This was disappointing as otherwise the hotel was very good.

The staff were incredibly friendly and charming and could nit do enough to help. The hotel is quirky, very comfortable and was an excellent experience overall.

I was only there for a weekend so didn’t find anything I disliked in such a short space of time.

The location was easy to travel to and from! It was near several bus stops and a few metro stations. It’s a 10 minute walk away from a high street but it wasn’t noisy at all — we slept very soundly! It was nice to be near things like convenience stores, a pharmacy and other things like bakeries and quick food stops. The hotel’s staff are very friendly, and we enjoyed the food at the restaurant as well as cocktails at the bar. Random point but I also liked the fact that there was security outside the hotel all day and throughout the evening. The area itself seems pretty safe to my standards so not sure why security presence is required but it made me feel even more comfortable nonetheless!

The downstairs bar didn't seem very welcoming. One evening we wanted an early drink, the staff ignored us, outside didn't seem very "open" or raring to go for service, someone was fixing the floor... so we left and went elsewhere. The reception staff were not always very friendly. On arrival, they didn't know we had already paid for our room so they almost charged us a huge amount onto our card for the room + deposit. Thankfully we realised before it went through. The cleaning staff tried to come into our room and knocked violently before opening the door and trying to enter when we were in there getting ready and half dressed! She didn't know if the room was cleaned already. Surely the staff should know whether the room is done or not? It just felt lacking in vibe and tight, good service. The style is very cool and we love how affordable it is to stay with you, so we would definitely come again. We just expected a bit more from your team.

Although not central to the city, we liked the location as there was a "locals" vibe and some good bars/restaurants close by. We especially loved Caché and Amagat around the corner. The room was perfect for what you needed. Some shower gel would have been nicer than a bar of soap, if i'm being fussy. For a hotel with cool style it was very affordable which is why we booked it initially. Sometimes the reception staff were friendly, sometimes not so much.

The bar music was a little audible in the bedrooms until late at night. I needed rest for a Paris dance retreat. However I appreciate your bar is very popular and I would still return to MS. Perhaps a quiet bedroom option could be on offer to anyone seeking a good long peaceful night's sleep?

The staff were outstanding, every single person from the reception to the bar waiters, waitresses. Your buffet breakfast is outstanding! Everything so beautifully cooked. Particularly loved the scrambled eggs, roasted herby plum tomatoes and roasted zucchini and mushrooms and your celery salt is something i will now buy for home. Coffee was good and hot chocolate, home made breads and cakes and jams all outstanding. We loved your pillows and would buy them if we could. The best hotel bed I have ever slept in. The shower is outstanding with great water pressure and loads of hot water. Towels generous and fluffy with a heated towel rail. Loved the basin design too, so useful with the clever extra basin tray. I love the toothpastes you sell. The bar area is beautiful with both hard seats and loads of cosy sofas so customers can really relax when they drink and eat.
