Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location was very good and so was the breakfast. The entrance was very nice with trees and flowers. very near to the train station.

Sloveniawe booked a standard room and it was small with a very small bathroom too. But OK, that's what we booked. I suggest booking a step up category, if the size of the room is important.
location is really good, quiet but close to promenade and center (about 10 min easy walk). Parking is a blessing in Nice, fair rate (24 EUR). Hotel is really nice, like an oasis, as its name suggests. Very nice restaurant as well.

United States of AmericaThe balcony on the first floor was directly in back of reception, created less privacy than I had expected. Lights by the bed did not work, balcony doors did not lock; disconcerting.

PolandEverything was fine. But Unfortunately, the bathroom fan was very dirty. It’s very important to me that the bathroom is clean, and this was quite unpleasant. Additionally, there was no shelf in the shower for toiletries, which would have been useful
This place is really nice and beautiful, with a cozy vibe! An interesting historical note: Chekhov once stayed here. The rooms have lovely, comfortable balconies that overlook the garden. The staff were very good and responsive. The hotel offers paid parking, which should be booked in advance at a reasonable price; this was very convenient for us. Also, the staff were incredibly helpful when I needed to call an ambulance due to an unfortunate incident (not the hotel’s fault). They assisted in calling the ambulance and provided someone who helped translate from English to French for the paramedics.

FinlandLocation is not in the very center, but it didn’t bother me. It was walkable. Sound proofing wasnt the best, you can hear everything (word by word) next door.

United KingdomThe weather was warm and we wanted to use the air-con, but were told the hotel system only allows for that in summer (similarly you couldn’t have heating on from April to October, regardless of how cold it might be). We had to ask for a fan and a sheet instead of the duvet. The main receptionist (male) was grim and not obliging, though the night receptionist was very helpful.
It was very quiet but within easy walking distance of the sea, the station and plenty of restaurants, and not far from a tram stop on the line which goes to the airport in one direction and the old port in the other. The cleaning staff were very helpful when I went looking for the kettle which, according to the booking.com site, should have been in the room.

GermanyThe cleaning lady... The cleaning lady started to clean around nine o'clock in the morning. She knocked on my door, and I can't tell whether she knocked on my door, because the door of my room is close to the other two doors. So I did not answer. She opened my door and found that I was still in, then she left my door open and walked away quietly... I didn't notice that somebody opened my room until I finished my job and needed to go out. It was like this for the two days I stayed. I was having virtual business meetings everyday with an open door in my room!!! Also, on the day I would checkout, she came again before half an hour of the checkout time, and asked me when I would leave... I don't want to blame her or anything, and I guess she just likes to plan her work. I understand it. But I think it will be better in the future, if she could close the door if she accidentally opens, for the privacy of clients. Also, if a client is going to check out on that day, please wait until he or she leaves.
The hotel is very nice. It's an old building, and everything in the room is clean. It's really quiet, and during the night the entrance of the ground yard was locked for safety, but the reception is still there to open the door for the late comer. I really enjoyed my stay!

NetherlandsVery thin walls made it hard to sleep without ear plugs due to noisy neighbors. Furthermore, some things were overdue for a replacement (cracked shower head and flooring, a shower door that couldn't close, stained carpet). And the wi-fi did not work on either Android or iOS due to some certificate issue. Restarting their router did not resolve it.
Excellent location, very friendly staff, one of the cheaper hotels in the city.
