Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe were kind of scared walking around outside. Even in our room we felt a little scared. Next time we will pay a little more and feel more secure.
We were quite close to Montmartre and had a nice dinner.

New ZealandThe room was a bit run down eg: some areas had pealing paint. It's not super wheelchair accessible, I dont think you could fit a wheelchair in the elevator easily but I could be wrong. The area from the train station to the hotel is very dirty and smelly, obviously this has nothing to do with the hotel itself but it made opening the windows a bad idea.
The people were really nice but the room was a little bit run down. The smell of the fish market that sometimes happens doesn't affect the inside of the hotel. The beds were comfortable and the rooms small but not cramped. The price is fair for what you get

United KingdomThe pillow wasn't the most comfortable.
The location was perfect for a night's sleep after arriving on the last Eurostar from London. As a single woman, I didn't feel unsafe walking the 7 minutes from Gare du Nord and found the room to be perfectly adequate for one night.

Great value for money and a good base to go sightseeing. I love this area, it’s busy and real, nothing like the tourist spots. You can buy different good value food delights on your walk to the metro. It’s within Walking distance to Gare du Nord and the metro. The room had everything that we needed, bed, basic toiletries and towels. Pillows were a little uncomfortable but I’ve never slept anywhere that has pillows like home! All in all a good stay.

United KingdomThere was a cigarette underneath one of the beds in our room. The hotel wifi is only available in the area around reception. We didn't have towels in the room when we arrived, although these were supplied later. The room only had one main light so could not be dimmed in readiness for bedtime and could not be controlled from near the bed. The only plug socket was in the bathroom.
The hotel was just round the corner from Gare de Nord station which made it very accessible for us. The area around the hotel is not the most salubrious but was ok.

United KingdomThere were no bedside lights and the switch for the main bedroom light was far from the bed, which was on a raised platform, and so this could be tricky for infirm or poorly sighted people to navigate. (However, one could use the TV remote control to switch the TV on as a source of illumination, or use one's smartphone.) The bathroom sink did not seem to have a plug. It got a bit noisy from about 5.30 in the morning (Wednesday) when a huge street market was being set up below (below the Metro line - also a bit noisy), but the noise wasn't too bad when I closed the window.
Room (513) was clean. Bathroom was pretty good (but see remark re plug below). There was a lift. Staff were accommodating, and happy for me to leave my luggage for later collection. They were also happy to open the door at any time in the night (quick to respond to the buzzer). Good hanging space with hangers. Very close to the Gare du Nord and the Barbès - Rochechouart Metro station, and close to Montmartre (I recommend L'Helice as a characterful bar). and a reasonable walking distance from the spectacular Parc des Buttes-Chaumont and the interesting little Parc de Belleville, with its art work. (Both parks offer great views over Paris.)
