At a reasonable price it is what to expect. A bit run down and need for update. Thin walls you hear conversations from common areas clearly and sounds from rooms. The subway rumbles underneath but it did not bother so much.

Central and good location for a short London stay. Bed was soft and comfortable, shower worked fine, served breakfast at good price. Friendly and helpful staff in reception.

The only thing that I did not like was that the bed was a tad too small to fit two people on it. Thankfully it wasn't that hot as it did not include a fan or an AC.

Location of hotel is perfect. The receptionist was also very helpful and we were very well served.

Although the hotel was quite clean, refreshing the walls and replacing the old furniture would definitely give the hotel a nicer look and a better standard.

The best location ever,only 2 minutes to Paddington station. Super friendly staff at the reception and at the breakfast. 2 options for breakfast: Full English and Continental.

Mostly the surly man at the front desk, who was there both when we checked in at 9 and when we left at 7:30. Curt and cursory.

Given the location and age of the property, the triple room size was pretty good (there was still floor space even with our luggage). They had a hardwired hair dryer and a portable fan, both of which we used and appreciated! The street is actually not too noisy at night, although the property does rumble a little when the tube goes by. Breakfast was decent and started early enough to allow us to eat before leaving for the train.

The only real negative was that the room was very hot. A fan was provided but it did little to cool the room down. There was also no power points next to the beds which I would have preferred.

The hotel was ideally placed for attending a concert at Hyde Park. We were able to walk there and back. We had 2 rooms both of which slept 5 people. They were a little cramped but we had expected that. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful. The room and bed linen were fresh and clean.

This is an old building, so there is no elevator. This is not really a complaint, just that climbing those stairs is quite a workout! Also, there is a nice window that opens to let in the breeze, but I had to prop it open with a book in order for the window to stay open. No big deal. The water pressure/hot water in the shower was okay one day, great the next day, and okay the last day. This might depend on how many people are using the water at the moment?

For me, the location of this hotel is perfect, as it is so close to Paddington Station and there are many shops, restaurants, and sights within walking distance. I feel very safe knowing that there is always someone at the front desk. The staff is very kind and helpful. I have stayed here three times now, and this time, the breakfast was really good. The kitchen staff were so friendly and attentive, and it seemed like there were a few more options for breakfast (i.e., a continental option with bread, fruit, and yogurt). I was also overjoyed to see that the hotel provided me with a small fan, which was very nice as the room can get a little warm during the day.

No shower gel. No tea bags and only 1 milk for coffee. Because there was 80 steps leading to room and I have mobility issues I coukd 'pop' down and ask for more.

We picked a small double room as only staying for 1 night to attend an event. If staying for longer or on holiday, I would definitely choose a bigger room and bed.

We liked the location and the price for what the room was needed for. Lots of late night eateries very close by and a 5 min walk from Paddington station. The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were polite, welcoming and friendly.

Somewhat eccentric plumbing, cold tap often ran hot, hot tap sometimes cold....

Friendly staff, convenient for Paddington and Hyde park. Reasonable value for money given the location. Good to have an opening window.

Not a major problem...but after a long day in London , and at our gig in Hyde Park , the stairs were a toil , but would not put us off booking again

Breakfast was very satisfactory and served by lovely , competent staff... Location was great for everything we wanted to do on this break ...plus within our budget
