Lack of food options or even access to a microwave. We had to drive out for food which is a shame.

Beautiful views and the lodge was clean and a great size. Slept really well.

The property was a little hard to find, you have to park away from the main building, the reception area appeared somewhat run down. The price would be more justified if it could include breakfast.

The room in the scandinavian lodge was superb, clean, comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings.

The original room i was checked into the views were limited with a tree and branches in the view of the window, although it had recently been re-carpeted and painted this was not the room i wanted for my duration of my stay with very limited space for three days. The available Breakfast could have been a lot more adventurous.

The room was beautiful once i upgraded to a lodge. the views were exceptional, the cleanliness of the lodge was very good, the Tea/Coffee/hot choc & biscuits in the room were a little treat. A small fridge also in the room. Mike (Sit mgr) was exceptional and was always around if i needed any help with anything. A real asset to Brathay Hall.

There was no food available. I saw there was an eating area but it was not open. This was very, very disappointing - meaning I had to drive into Ambleside for each meal. It is difficult to recommend a venue when they do not provide food.

Drying Cupboard for coats. What a bonus., as it can (and does ) rain. Happy hols. Lovely spot and great walks nearby. Vast comfy bed.

The room was very comfortable, with a fridge and good warm shower. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. A little doggy bag with treats and a toy for my dog was great. Temperature in the room was just right no too hot or too cold.

Great location. Close to amvleside but away from all hustle and bustle.

No cleaning service at all despite putting notice on door twice. No staff to find! No dog waste bins at all in grounds despite it being a "dog friendly" accommodation. Area way too remote for me. Needed to be near family camping nearby but too far to walk. No apparent bus service. Very dependent on people coming to pick me up. My mistake as I didn't know the area.

There's nothing not to like! Although we did have a giggle the first time we turned on the shower that it sounded like a blender trying to take off 🤣 but it settled and was really powerful and hot so we loved the shower too!

A fabulous location, gorgeous buildings, the room was spotless and spacious and had lovely massive windows looking out across the grounds and the lake. We asked for a specific room as it looked the most ideal for us with our dog, having seen the rooms on the website, and they sorted it no problem. Staff were really friendly and in addition to the tea, coffee and fridge we even got a little goodie bag for the pooch. Can't fault this place at all, huge thanks from me, Ben and Rune. We'll definitely come again!

The location is so close to Ambleside and you get such a great value for your money. We stayed with our dog and it was a perfect setting to bring her! The rooms was generous with beautiful views of the property. The lobby can seem a bit shabby but then the rooms are a pleasant surprise! Will definitely stay here again.

Bathroom was a bit dated and felt a bit unclean in parts. But that may have been perception as it’s so old.

Location was perfect with a short drive to town. Lovely area. Had Elecreic charging point for my car. Lovely and warm room.
