Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt's in the city, so as expected can be a bit noisy. Also people walking, singing by the rooms and shouting at 2.30 am, was a bit off putting. However, hotel dealt with quickly, as noise soon stopped.
Excellent value for money. Basic but clean with comfortable bed. Located near to the coach station, so Excellent for an early start following morning. V

United KingdomI had a query with my payment and the response from brittania was slow, but they did answer my query. The whole hotel is tired and shabby. It needs upgrading. The bath panel was hanging off and the taps on the sink need replacing. The windows are secondary glazing and you can still hear considerable noise from the city during the night. There's not enough electric sockets and there are still some sockets that take the round pin plugs! But overall it keeps me coming back because of the location and cleanliness.
It's the perfect location for me. In the city and near the bus station. The rooms are very clean.

United KingdomChanging the mattress, a ventilating bathroom and a friendly shower mixer would make the property my first choice.
The room was tidy and clean, providing the same amenities as others I have had to pay more for. It was indeed value for money.

United KingdomA bit of a scruffy exterior to hotel and felt rather 'hostel like' but cheap and adequate for our stopover.
Close proximity to Coventry Cathedral- caught Evensong at 4.00. Near lots of eateries. Pleasant breakfast in totally empty slightly worn dining area

United KingdomInformation about parking in the area could be more helpful. Car park suggested on hotel website was closed. I could not reach the shower head to take it off its holder. Breakfast was good but the coffee was terrible! Cona coffee would be better than what came out of those machines.
Hotel was clean and in a good location for singing at the Cathedral for the weekend. I could open a window.

United KingdomHowever some members of staff are rude, I had an issue with my key and had to go down to reception for help and was faced with a hostile response and had my key aggressively slid to me and told “it’s fine”. The cleanliness is hit or miss, unfortunately I found brown marks on my bed, which I have included some photos of the smaller marks, and was forced to sleep on a towel the first night. The breakfast was skimpy, greasy and quite frankly bland, it is definently not worth £9, however if you book on the day you would pay £11! The restaurant staff are not bubbly but who can blame them when they are faced with a dull outdated work environment. However the bar staff were lovely! Also the facilities (bar and restaurant) are closed unless they have coach parties which is inconvenient. You can tell they are trying to modernise the place but maybe they could do with modernising their attitudes and furniture as bed was also uncomfortable. Overall a bitter sweet experience.
The hotel is in a great location, only 5 minutes away from the city centre. Room had a perfect view of the transport museum and Coventry cathederal. I was also travelling with a disabled family member and thankfully certain members of staff helped make our stay easier. Some staff members were lovely and helpful, especially the security guards who were very friendly and bubbly.

United KingdomThis hotel would get much higher ratings from me personally and so many other guests I can see in the reviews if you fire your rude night staff and bring someone with some common sense customer care. It is not the first time I come here and always this middle aged grumpy night receptionist with French accent making my stay here miserable. I mean after so many reviews you would expect the management to sack him long time ago, but hey he must be worth to you more than increased revenue due to improved reviews. This time, when my key card stopped working after I came back to my room and went downstairs to reception he angrily told me, that it was my fault, that I kept it near my phone, which I never do, but regardless he could just quickly rescan the card. I have worked in hotels myself and I know how easy it is and how unthinkable it is to blame your guests for it. Additionally, it took him 5 minutes to try and do it and he failed!!! Then he gave my key card to another guy who did it finally. Britannia management, are you OK???
My room was spacious, clean and had a bathtub which was nice.

United KingdomI got told it was a hostel and it said nothing about that when booking. Tellies weren't working but a member of staff helped. The smell in the corridors, every adult needs id! Which I didn't realise we'd HAVE to have id apart from the names person booking
The location and the rooms were good, the price was really good! Bar area nice, staff very nice and helpful
