Lady on reception was EXTREMELY rude and condesending!! Not what you would expect in such a lovely hotel. Iv always loved this hotel but her customer service has put me off.

Stop off on way to south of England. Nice hotel, friendly staff, cannot comment on food but welcome cookie was delicious. Beds were a bit hard but that's personal preference.

Staff was dis interested when we approached to ask for out bins to be emptied in the room. Visited reception to ask for directions to the closest shop for milk for our baby. Had to wait 5 minutes as the receptionist was on their mobile phone and then the staff was not helpful in meeting our request. To quote we don't know where you want milk from we would have to Google a shop for you.

Room very quiet and comfortable despite being close to main road and motorway. Evening meal was excellent on both nights and good selection for breakfast.

I booked last minute due to an unexpected bereavement. Arrived quite late and the staff member said my Booking.com booking had been rejected. Didn’t explain what that meant and gave me a room anyway. Wasn’t the welcome I expected really.

Lovely hotel. Nice room, comfy bed, gorgeous grounds - I bet it's great in summer. Really enjoyed the spa day and very impressed with the delicious vegan afternoon tea.

Quality of cooked breakfast was not amazing although we enjoyed our omelettes as they were freshly cooked. Hot water from the machine was grim for making tea.

Lovely helpful friendly staff. (Especially reception staff and Susie at breakfast) Convenient location as we travelled. Very efficient check in and no fuss when we asked to stay an extra night. Very quiet in our room with all facilities we needed.

Front staff not friendly no proper information Empty bottles and glasses left at doorway on arriving at our room Vacuum cleaner left at doorway as a trip hazard almost saying we are here to clean get out now at 07:30 Room had mud stains on bed. The clock alarm went off at 6 am which was annoying as we’re out till early hours and wanted to sleep in. Staff apologised when we mentioned it at checkout. Shower pressure was quite weak.

Warm room but not too hot, huge comfy bed, warm cookies on arrival, good to have noon checkout.

Bed not very comfortable, no visible condensation extraction in bathroom (for a shower over bath). Rather noisy with people on bedroom corridors in early hours, due to a wedding held at hotel on final night of our stay. Breakfast service also rather chaotic on last day, due to influx of wedding/weekend hotel guests

Hotel location and ample free parking was good, as was the morning cooked breakfast included in price of stay.

As for a 4 star hotel I wish breakfast offered better options for eggs. No option to order eggs. Only available option was fried eggs and scrambled egg. Overall breakfast was delicious.

Had a little issue with our bathroom sink. They moved us to a new room right away with a complimentary drink in the Garden terrace.😇 We ordered room service for dinner. It was really good. And fast service. Thanks. SPA was great..we really recommend.
