Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room could have been a bit bigger and perhaps new beds are in order The price is excellent value so you can't expect luxury
The staff were excellent and the location was great for us as we were attending the race course The hotel arranged our taxi and it was there in two minutes It was great for what we needed

Easy to find and nice enough. Friendly staff and clean. Absolutely fine for somewhere to rest your head after a gig and a few beers

United KingdomI was here during a heat wave, the hotel was not prepared for it, as it could not supply me with a simple fan. Prior my stay I have emailed the hotel asking for a fan, the staff replied they just had one fan and it was being used by someone else. Very disappointing. During my stay, the room was extremely hot, and only one part of the window would open, this became unbearable as the air could not circulate. Not to mention that the supermarket LIDL opposite the hotel had their broken alarm going off all night, on both nights of my stay. The hotel staff said it was recurrent. These were the worst nights of my life. The carpet wasn't clean, a lot of dusty, and the room layout was very awkward with the sink actually in a corner. The toilet was micro with all the fittings falling apart. The outside area, at the back was also disappointing as it looked like a bomb site. What a waist of good garden space.
Cheap average room with an average bed.

United KingdomThe Cotswold hotel breached an agreement between us and refused refunding my money for reservation which was free of charge cancellation, fully refundable.. They said they will not pay money back because this is booking.com fault not them. This matter will end up in a court.

United KingdomIllogical room numbering - eventually found my room; linen rather tired (one pillow-case had hole, towel small and well worn), staff a bit preoccupied; almost 'Faulty Towers' - had to laugh.
Parking provided free, convenient location on bus route, shops opposite, wi-fi, room clean.

NorwayWi-Fi was flaky. Towels were not changed during the five days I was there; however they were available on demand. Room 21 is at the front so is quite noisy because of traffic on Mansfield Road which starts early in the morning, ask for a room at the back if you don't like waking up early :-)
The bathroom was good, the room was big enough. The location was excellent with a number of good cafés and pubs near by as well as easy access to the city centre by bus. The manager was friendly and knowledgeable, check in was efficient. It was possible to park my car on the property except for one day out of the week I was there. There was a small table and chair as well as a bedside table and more mains sockets than anyone could need in addition to two USB charging sockets.

United Kingdom1. There was no food or drink being served - restaurant was closed the whole time we were there. 2. The bar was closed the whole time we were there, so no drinks at all. 3. We only drink cold drinks so purchased some from a shop outside of the hotel, we were going to use the fridge in the kitchen of the hotel but it smelt so bad as well as the kitchen being in a complete mess that we did not use it. 4. I had recommended this hotel to our friends who also stayed but none of us would use it again.
1. It was close to the events that we were going to - The National Water Sports Centre and The Motorpoint Stadium.

United KingdomVery little to be not liked. Bath towel slightly on the small side and there was only a small cup for making tea not a mug. Opposite however, there is a Lidl supermarket where I was able to get a mug. The small lounge area was occupied by groups of other guests but not a big issue if you're out and about.
The room I had was much as I expected it to be for single room but the other one was a little on the tiny side and no desk. It all looked freshly decorated and recently refurbished, The bed was good and the linen looked new. Breakfast is not served or other meals but there is an good café opposite and other meals can be got from the Cods & Scallops and the Grosvenor pub near by. The location is very good for the city centre with plenty of busses, so not long to wait and only about a ten minute ride. The hotel is not too far from the ground where the famous Goose Fair is held on Gregory Boulevard. The reception was helpful and friendly.
