Small niggles of fridge door needing to open so kitchen door doesn't have to be closed. Taller wardrobes in bedrooms and maybe use of bbq in garden.

Arisaig holidays apartment is a fabulous family accomodation. It is a very well equipped property and having two en suite bathrooms was a big bonus. There are three doors leading to outside which was beneficial when eating outside or taking the dog outside into the garden. The bedroom upstairs was a great space and even better views of the marina and countryside. Even though the house is close to a major road the house and gardens were very quiet and peaceful. The property is ideally located for the village of Arisaig and the marina for escaping to the western Isles. All in all an excellent place to stay in the beautiful West Coast of Scotland.

There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like.

This was a self catering apartment so I cannot comment on the food but there is a really great restaurant with rooms in the village. The location was lovely ; fantastic views, beautiful partly wild garden with seating. The apartment was really well equipped and spotlessly clean. I am seriously thinking about booking for next year already. Boat trips to the Small Isles were an extra attraction.

Spacious and very clean with a well equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms, both with ensuite and lots of hanging space and drawers. The property is attached to the owners house, but after the initial introduction we very rarely saw them during our 7 day stay. In a village location, so walkable shop, pub, restaurant and railway station all within 5 mins walk. Before arriving I was concerned that the house was near the road, but hardly noticed it. We would definitely stay again. Loved the local pub, which was very friendly.

Location, stunning views, beautiful property. Lovely bedroom. Warm welcome from Michael and lots of thoughtful extras. Will certainly return as we love spending time in Arisaig.

Lovely apartment at the top of Arisaig ,great views over the bay and a wee walk down the hill to the local pub, shop & restaurants. We're no strangers to the area but this is the first time we've used this accommodation, everything was immaculate on arrival and Michael was on hand to greet us at the door . The fact that it is dog friendly was a big plus for us and our Lhasa Apso ,Otis ,enjoyed his vacation as much as wee did .

Loved the house, and everything was exceptional and clean. Comfy beds, well-appointed kitchen, and the upstairs bedroom was excellent. The scenery is amazing with stunning views over the Sound of Arisaig. Mike and Fiona were great hosts. Will definitely return the next time I've the chance.

Really comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of space, spotlessly clean and what a gorgeous view! Michael and Fiona were so welcoming and friendly.

Downey Birch is a beautiful, very comfortable apartment. Fiona and Michael are very welcoming hosts.

It would be helpful if there was a stair gate fitted to the stairs leading to the upstairs main bedroom. One of the owners house rules are no dogs are allowed upstairs. So we needed to use the dining chairs to block it off for our dog.

We liked the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the location. A home from home.

The property was great. It was a very comfy and relaxing place to stay. The hosts met us when we arrived, were very welcoming, and gave us some great information about nearby places of interest and activities. The property's location is very close to the ameneties in Arisaig including a shop, a pub, places to eat and boat trips, and it's only a short drive to some fantastic beaches.

Nothing in particular. One minor gripe was that there was no separate toilet as both were en-suite - which for the majority of the time is a great thing. As someone who tends to stay up at least two hours after the rest of the family go to bed was not ideal to have to walk through bedroom to bathroom late at night.

stunning view, great location close to all amenities in Arisaig and close to many activities and locations of interest. Quiet and peaceful.

We couldn't fault it one bit.

It was a central location and the apartment was like home from home. Everything you needed was there including the personal touches of shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath. Our hosts left us a box of chocolates as a welcome gift which was lovely.

The internal doors that join the property to the owners home. We were not aware of them until arrival and although they are locked it didn't stop our dog constantly sniffing under the door as she is very curious. The door is directly opposite the kitchen where dogs must sleep which caused some anxiety during the night when she heard noises. I understand that the upstairs door is a fire exit and completely necessary.

Property's location was good, short walk down to the village sea front. Pleseant walks around and beautiful scenery.
