All areas gave the impression you were in a hotel of a higher standard than their room rate. Amy the receptionist gave the service you expect but very seldom get, she was first class.

Sometimes having to search for staff to help as often the reception desk is not manned and staff are shared across multiple roles which I guess is understandable to save on costs but can lead to a wait to be seen. The food in the restaurant was average and could be improved.

Very comfortable bed and pillows and great shower. Nice lounge area and allows dogs.

There was evidence that the carpeted floor had not been well cleaned with waste basket contents littered about under the desk/dreser

The room was large and the double bed was large and comfortable with crisp bedlinen. The bathroom was well appointed with large shower cubicle, Cupboard storage for clothing was ample with good hanging space.

There wasn’t much at all. My sheets had what looked to be a stain on it, coffee or something. Didn’t bother me really but would some.

The wording on the email led me to believe I had to pay for the car park, so I did via RingGo, then found out at check in I didn’t have to - now I’m having to email RingGo to get a refund, it’s a lot of hassle and time and I’m not sure whether the refund will be successful or not.

Shower was incredible, decor/interior design was great, very sophistIcated/up market. Wardrobe was great. The bed was large and comfortable. Everything was clearly good quality such as curtains etc

As per my feedback last year, luggage racks and toothbrush glasses in the bathroom would have been a help. Pillows fine for me but the bed was far too firm. Some windows wouldn’t unlock in spite of the valiant efforts of a young member of staff. Being situated in the roof space, it stayed over warm and we needed the fan on all night. Again as per last year, we removed the heavy duvet from its cover and managed with just the cover. Some blinds over the upper bathroom windows would help keep the it cooler too. It’s a strange place where I feel the management is very light touch and I fear that compared to cheaper 4star places in London where I stay, the Georgian doesn’t make the grade. As another reviewer noted, the breakfast menu is odd but the coffee and orange juice very good. A note on the bill advises that the service charge goes into the staff tronc but I have my doubts. Ear plugs are essential if you’re overlooking the road. Luckily the chemists 2 minutes up the street had some in stock!

Characterful refurbishment had brought a very old coaching inn back to life. I really want to like this hotel for nostalgic reasons. The bathroom to room 8 was spacious with a fantastic shower and the room itself was pleasantly decorated and well lit. The dining room, bar and gardens, along with the cosy little nooks were places where you could easily linger
