The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations and some of the facilities like the restaurant were not available. We were given a modernised room which was excellent with a lovely walk in shower. The meal in the bar was good and breakfast was very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a small issue upon arrival regarding our room. When I booked to stay at this specific hotel it was to attend an event scheduled to take place in their events hall. Unfortunately, as the hotel was going under refurbishment, the event eventually got moved and we had already booked a non-refundable room. I would like to note, I was unaware of the work being done when booking the stay and the pictures we booked the room based on were nothing like the one we got upon arrival. It wasn’t until I received an email from the event to say the location had been changed that I knew we’d be staying somewhere that was having work done. Thankfully, the refurbishment didn’t cause too many issues during our stay as the staff made it their mission to make things as comfortable and smooth running as possible. When we first arrived at our room, it’s safe to say we were incredibly disappointed by it. Outdated, uncomfortable and not the cleanest (mainly bathroom but also marks on walls etc) - I now completely understand why they are refurbishing the whole hotel, a great move on their part! As we were there for a business event and a two night stay, we simply couldn’t stay in this room. I spoke to Mateus at reception to see what could be done, I’m not one to complain/request to move rooms so I was incredibly nervous and felt awful about the whole situation. Mateus could not have been more helpful and reassuring during this process, he handled the situation with complete confidence, professionalism and respect for us as guests. We were moved to a newly refurbished room and it was wonderful. The room felt like it was in a completely different hotel to the first. Clean, aesthetically pleasing and incredibly comfortable.

The staff were exceptional, everyone was so lovely and extremely helpful during our stay. Especially Mateus and Ross who assisted us on check in and check out. Once we moved rooms, we were over the moon with our accommodation for the weekend. The location couldn’t have been better to suit our plans during this stay and the parking was ideal and well priced. The bar was lovely and the cocktails were delicious - well priced too! Definitely looking forward to staying again and seeing the refurbishment progress!

The pool is a bit of a journey from the main area , although not a major problem just a disadvantage

I came on my night on the off chance my son might come , I forgot my charger for my phone and the girl at the desk went above and beyond to try get me a charger , with no success she got me the plug though , and my mother came in the morning to take my son swimming even though she wasn’t a paying customer she was treated like one , even had breakfast

A bit more information in the welcome pack - we struggled with the heating and only figured out on the last day how to open the window for some air. There are no fridges in the rooms.

It is a really nice hotel, however they were renovating at the time so I'm sure it gets even better.

The room was dated and decor could have used a freshen up. The complimentary robe was stained with makeup and the pillows also looked stained. The bed was so hard, very uncomfortable sleep.
