Location is excellent for access to the town and public transport to other destinations. Room was spacious, food excellent with attentive staff.

Most members of staff we encountered were really friendly, but one seemed to have a bit of an attitude when we asked simple questions about the facilities in the rooms, just seemed like we were an inconvenience for being there. Whilst the room with kitchenette was lovely, the toilet wasn't cleaned properly and there was very minimal kitchen equipment (very small amount of cutlery and a couple of pans, but no plates/bowls and no supplies for washing up etc). This didn't impact our stay as we were eating out, but if we had booked with the intention of making any food we'd have been a bit frustrated.

Excellent location and a really nice pub. The rooms were quirky and beautifully decorated. Our party had a double room and a little suite with kitchenette and balcony - a really lovely treat to sit out and enjoy a sunny afternoon. Breakfast was a great selection and really tasty. All in all this hotel was good value for what we paid and I would consider staying again if in the area!

We were in room above main entrance, they could do with a soft close putting on the door as everytime someone came in the pub you would hear the door banging shut.

housekeeping could have been better, one day our room wasn't serviced but this was rectified when we told a member of staff at dinner. The next day our bed was made but the bins weren't emptied, we had fresh towels but used towels were not taken away and the tea tray wasn't replenished this is not a bad hotel just a staffing issue that needed addressing

The staff were friendly, chatty and attentive. the breakfast was excellent food was locally sourced made fresh to order and well presented. We had our evening meal there one evening which was also lovely

Great first floor room facing front of hotel- however we hadn't realised volume of traffic passing from 7am onward, then in evening just beyond 11pm! No fault of hotel- but if we stayed again we would face side or rear of hotel.

It is an old building so we expected the usual creaks in the floorboards. There was, however, a very strange and very loud noise above us which we think was when they were using the shower/toilet/sink. It was quite startling when we first heard it as we were settling down for the night. Otherwise no problems at all!

The location was excellent and the included breakfast choice was amazing and very very tasty!

If your in room 12 there are a fair few stairs. When flushing the toilet it makes an horrendous noise but does go quiet. The room was ok, we felt just a little tired could do with a freshen up. My husband found the bed hard, the matress was very springy it was too small for the bed so had some pillows stuffed at the back !! Could do with a blind at the window..... Shower needs a good clean around the tiles and edges. Its difficult to put the shower on when the screen does'nt move so be careful not to burn yourself.....

The location was excellent right in the centre of any bars/restaurants. We had the sunday lunch and fish and chips both excellent quality and decent size portions. Breakfast was also excellent big yorkshire breakfast/pancakes also top notch. Bar staff was lovely very friendly. Overall a good atmosphere at the Inn
