I did not like the WiFi, it was not secure. I would much prefer that there was a secure network with password protection.

Eveything about this hotel is amazing! The hotel is warm and welcoming the rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable. Located in an ideal location literally a 10 minute walk into the heart of York. The staff are more than welcoming and will happily do anything for you. Will definitely be coming back!

We had the apartment room it was comfortable and convenient. Used the gym which was minimal but had everything I needed for my workout - treadmill and weights bench. Garden area nice too. Standout was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Would definitely return!

As our room was at the top of the building there were a lot of stairs to get up to the top. I didn’t see a lift, so if older or with any form of disability I would contact the hotel to discuss a suitable room on the lower floors.

Centrally located in York city centre. Not far from the train station. The hotel had ample parking also if you need it. The hotel room was large, well laid out and comfortable. Great breakfast also.

Unfortunately the jacuzzi was not available and when you’ve done a lot of walking a little muscle relaxing in the jacuzzi would have been lovely, but these things happen.

The hotel was very well positioned for access to the city. The rooms were spacious and clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were just what we needed.

The information about how to access the car park did not include the name of the road so we went into the wrong car park which had a very, very narrow entrance. Tissues in the room would have been good - they ran out just after we arrived. There are never enough places to hang towels in the bathrooms and the window and mirror wouldn't clear of condensation even with the fan.

The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. It was so quiet! The bathroom was also a good size and the shower was great. The breakfast was amazing and we really enjoyed what we had both days.

Parking is approx £14.50 per day, would be more attractive as free parking.

Large Jacuzzi (communal) is a great plus. Proximity to centre is walking distance (12 mins approx)

Location - adjacent to rail line but trains stopped late evening.

Only a few minutes walk to Bootham Bar area. Guest parking on site was good. Warm & friendly staff. Good local knowledge for scenic routes into city. Very comfy & clean.

We had a lovely bright spacious traditional room with an unexpectedly modern sleek bathroom. Nice towels and toiletries and a very comfortable bed. The room was very hot but a fan was provided. Breakfast was promptly provided(you order the night before). The dinner menu was limited but good value and very well cooked. Parking was just under £15 but we were glad to pay it as parking in York is hell! A very short walk to the river, the railway station and the city centre Friendly staff. A great stay

The chef at this hotel is really amazing. Breakfasts are generous and delicious, but we had a dinner there one evening and the level was something else. The staff are really lovely and helpful, they go out of their way really. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the historic centre, and it's a nice walk passing by lovely little shops. I would stay again at Hedley House.
