A good choice for a sea front hotel.

    • Superior King Room with Sea View and Sofa Bed
    • Stayed 1 night

The complimentary tea and coffee in the room was rather basic. The windows were a bit dirty, which spoilt the sea view.

The buffet breakfast was exceptional, huge choice and good quality.

Check in took ages, don’t expect to pay this price and be made to queue for 15 mins. Any time we went through reception there was a queue. Cheeky charge for car park which belongs to the hotel. Parts of the building were a bit shabby and in need of a touch up.

    Great location and lovely building.

Although there was plenty of choice for breakfast the food was cold which was dissapointing but this is generally what happens when it is a buffet and catering for large amounts of people. Was expensive for a two night stay but ok for a special treat.

The room was large, modern & clean- the hotel was lovely. Great location for exploring Brighton- right on the seafront and walking distance to the shops, lanes and restaurants.

Staff came across as rude. And basic things seems such a hassle with them.

Clean and tidy and quite a large hotel. Rooms were very well looked after.

I called up the day before for the sofa bed to be made up and we were unable to check into our hotel when we arrived as the sofa bed was being made up, however, when we got there, it wasn’t done! Couldn’t get through to guest services from phone in the room. WiFi code didn’t recognise my surname despite that being the name on the booking, couldn’t get through to guest services on the phone to sort. No mini bar Spa - was A LOT smaller than advertised and did not look enjoyable, we decided not to go into the pool area

Loved location, right on the seafront. Hotel was clean and decorated well. Staff were unbelievably helpful!

I didn't like that at arrival we we didn't had towels in the bathroom, although after I discussed at the reception, they brought. Another inconvenient was that the cold water from bathroom was not working. To pay lot of money at a good rated hotel and you can't even take a proper shower because the cold water was not working... Another think that is unconfortabe is that in the room you don't have any bottle of water but keetle and tea bags, yes. It would be nice if they can provide.

The location was very nice, close to the beach. The hotel is as per expectations regarding the furniture and the cleanliness and the breakfast was verry tasty. Fresh and quality products.

According to the brochure handed to us, wi-fi was only free to paying customers if one was member or became a member of their loyalty programme. Only at checkout we found out that there is in fact a password to bypass this and access the wi-fi without having to enrol in their loyalty programme. I wish this had been made clear to us on arrival.

Very nice room with a superb view. The bed was very comfy, and the the size of the TV was as big as any I have ever seen in a hotel room. Having use of the swimming pool was very enjoyable. Friendly staff, and the breakfast was excellent value for money.

All in all it was good. But it could be better, especially for the money one pays.
    • Business trip
    • Solo traveler
    • Superior Queen Room with Sea View
    • Stayed 5 nights

The room did not meet my expectations. There could be more amenities. I stayed for 5 nights. I could have been provided some goodies like mineral still water upon my arrival (only once towards the end did I get a can). Not everything was replaced on a daily basis (I wanted minted tea and chamomile- instead of just black tea which I do not drink), toilet paper or small towels (once none of these was added). I would have liked to have a mini fridge. This would have been of help. The room and the building looks in need of upkeep to make it look less old. At certain times the hotel was crowded and there were too many people waiting for the lift, especially when whole groups do check-in. Once I had to go all the way upstairs to the fifth floor at the end of a long conference day!

Breakfast Location Help I got at the reception, especially by Suzana. She was so willing to help and nice. Really lovely.

The coffee/Tea facilities in the room. We constantly had to request the refreshments. Not enough milk for the coffees and not refilled each day as expected.

Think about number of hotel guests and how this may affect breakfast ie quantity of food and seating of guests.

For some reason I booked a room for a person in a wheelchair, which we didn't need. No hooks on bathroom door for towels/robes etc. No shelf in bathroom for toiletries. Breakfast on Saturday morning was overcrowded and chaotic. Location good.

On arrival we asked about parking and were informed the multiple storey we parked in was ok, were given a code and paid £9 in the hotel reception, when leaving the car park we were told our ticket did not apply to the car park and had to pay £28. Total £37. On arrival only one lift was working and a group of 52 members of the Sunseakers club were waiting to use the one lift with luggage in front of us. The bar was packed with a wedding party and in the morning there was a queue from the breakfast room into the corridor, another log wait. Nice hotel but full to capacity and a lot of money for the experience.

    Excellent room, excellent breakfast
