Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A bit more clothes storage in the room. Fire door slams a lot (fortunately not at night). Bed could have been a bit larger.

The only thing that wss slightly dissapointing was the water pressure in thd shower.
The double room was lovely. Breskfadt was great and the facilities were generally excellent.

As my room was new the TV hadn’t been set up and was on a plug in Ariel so I could only get 4 channels
Thought the food was extremely good both evening meal and breakfast, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Staff were very nice and the room was freshly furnished so very modern and comfortable with plenty of different drink options for the kettle :)

Bathroom was a little cold but this was due to a known fault and was being fixed the next day.

The ensuite had a macerator pump that went off every time you turned on the water. It made the toilet judder and emitted an awful smell of sewage. There was a lot of road noise through the windows

The ensuite was a little cramped but adequate. There was nowhere to put clothes, but for a short stay that did not matter enough.
The room was great with a good desk to work at. The breakfast was amazing and the evening meal was good. Having a small fridge helped me also

Room I had was directly on main A120 alot of road noise until 10.30 then started again around 5.30AM. There are other rooms protected from road noise. If you are a light sleeper check where your room is

Nothing at all
We went to Kings Arms for the weekend, it was our first time there so not sure what to expect. When we arrived we ere given the key to our room, and we were delighted with it, the room was very clean, the furniture was good quality, and the room a good proportion. It was very comfortable and well maintained, the only 2 things we had issues with were small issues, the mini fridge did not get very cold and the shower could be more powerful, but minor worries. The best thing, as far as my partner is concerned, was that the air con unit is really good and efficient. We had dinner there that night and the service was impeccable, the only problem we had was that we were told we could order onion rings then the chef said we couldn’t, it was not that busy so not sure why that was, other than that the food was very tasty and we enjoyed it. The breakfast was in a league of its own, it was exceedingly tasty, large and well cooked, we loved it, the team kindly made a table up for us in the bar area as we have a small dog, the whole team were helpful and very friendly, we could not fault them at all, and the place and team were very dog friendly, which makes it even better. All in all it was. Lovely stay and we would highly recommend Kings Arms to anyone.

When I booked, the info about the room said it was soundproofed. It was definitely not as the first night, the noise of the cars & wagons on the road outside was noticeable. Didn’t bother me as much the second night. Would NOT put me off staying there again as everything else was great.
Really comfy bed. Nice warm bathroom. Had dinner first night & cooked breakfast both mornings. Food was superb & freshly cooked (great chef).

Staff all very friendly and helpful and interested in their guests. Superb full english breakfast included in price. The room was tasfully decorated and clean. Easy access to rooms. Being a pub based hotel, does not have all the facilities of a larger hotel, but if you want a friendly warm peaceful environment then this hotel rates highly.

Have stayed here before in a room with a single bed (cheapest room). Got no sleep from Traffic outside which is why I paid more for the soundproofing room at the back of the property. Think there are mulitple rooms with soundproofing but check in room description
