You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Booked a double room which was very small and the shower was very in a very small space
Very nice and friendly reception staff. Location was very good just a short walk in to the town. Good quality products in rooms and at breakfast.

Lovely hotel, the staff go over and above to make sure you have the best stay - I got upgraded and had complimentary drinks and snacks in my room including a Nespresso machine! The breakfast had so much choice and there was even free prosecco!

The only downside was the size of the bathroom; it was quite small and felt cramped. A larger bathroom would significantly improve the comfort and satisfaction of the rooms.
I really enjoyed the facilities and the continental breakfast at Mandolay Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the stay very pleasant. The location also added convenience to my visit, enhancing the overall experience.

Parking situation isn’t great having to pay so much for one night, also we were informed the tap water wasn’t drinkable but we’re providing with a single small can of water between 2.

The room wasn’t particularly clean, the shower drain smelled bad, the fan for the bathroom did not work, the window did not open but you wouldn’t have wanted to anyway as the room was right next to some sort of generator, so earplugs were needed to sleep at night

Extremely warm welcome from the reception staff, and they upgraded my room which was a lovely surprise. Great communication prior to arrival too. Room was lovely and very comfortable. Bar and restaurant staff also very friendly. It had a professional but welcoming feel in general.

That I had to leave so early so didn’t get the chance to try breakfast! My fault, not theirs.
Lovely room - spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff are amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. I had to leave very early in the morning and I was delighted with the takeaway continental breakfast they made me. Will be visiting Guildford again soon and will definitely be staying at the Mandolay.

I stayed in the coach house which is away from the main hotel building. There were people staying in the room above me, I could hear them walking about. Also banging & crashing by kitchen staff at 6.30am (luckily I was awake but others may not have been).
Good location, few minutes walk from London Road station and G-Live concert venue. Staff at reception were nice and polite. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The only fault was that the bathroom had a bit of limescale around the shower cubicle it was quite small and a bit dated.
The staff were excellent from the start, reception and at the bar they could not of been more friendly and accommodating. The location was great for getting into town. Parking did cost £15 24 hrs but we did get a drink each at the bar.

Unfortunately, and this is no reflection on the property there was a marital dispute on my floor at about 2am on my last night. This might not have been a problem had the door to my room been soundproofed - alas the door was not solid core but a light weight internal door. Thankfully the noise subsided after about half an hour.
