One of my favourite hotels, will definitely be returning

We found that the bed in the room was very high by design compared to what we are used to, which was a little unnerving, and it wasn't very comfortable. The bathroom was adequate for our needs but a little small compared with most.

It would have been nice to get dinner at the hotel but it was only a short walk back into town.

The room was fantastic and the breakfast wonderful. We had the garden room and it was extremely comfortable and I would certainly stay there again.

Couldn't fault anything during our stay

The hotel is a little gem. The rooms and decor are fabulously quirky and exceptionally comfortable. The beds and pillows were great, the bathrooms were very good and the staff and food were also great. We will definitely stay here again wen we visit York

The price of parking at the property was a bit much but I do understand why.

We absolutely loved this hotel. A short stay from York attractions on a lovely street. Gorgeous and quirky room. Smart TV with Netflix etc. Very comfortable bed. Daily coffee/tea/hot chocolate refresh. Large clean bathroom. And we even got a visit from the adorable hotel cat!

Another super stay at the Clementine . Very friendly & helpful staff, cosy bedrooms with lovely decor and Immaculate bathroom facilities . Great location, just a short walk into the center but in a very quiet area.

It was cold with nowhere to control the temperature of the room. Our bedroom area was quite small and getting around the bottom of the bed was a squeeze

The hotel offered to upgrade our room due to a heating issue but the new room was still cold until we twiddled the radiators. Once we got it working all was fine.

Lovely breakfast, a good bar/lounge, located in a very quiet and nice neighbourhood. A 10 minute walk to York centre and well placed for the train station once you know the route. Great staff. Comfortable hotel. Overall very good.

Beautiful property, the rooms were spacious and very well maintained, the staff were lovely and so helpful. The onsite bar for residents was a perfect place to end the day before going to bed. Loved every moment of the stay.

Room was a bit too warm for us (personal preference I know) but couldn't turn radiator off.

Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Balcony was great in the morning. Bar was cosy and convenient after a long day walking. Breakfast was good. Hotel is a nice walk from the city walls and tucked away in a quiet location. Would definitely stay there again.

A lift to help with carrying luggage up several flights of stairs would be helpful.

There was nothing we didn’t like. The room was great, the hotel bar was great and the staff were great.

Everything! The hotel was really lovely inside, so quirky and incredible decor! We were upgraded to a suite for my birthday and it was wonderful. The bathroom was really great with a massive rainfall shower which we loved. The bed was really comfortable and a great size. I absolutely loved the hotel and will definitely make the effort to go back.
