The boiler was broken which was a shame. Electric heaters were offered but we didn't need them

The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was of a very high standard and very large portion size. Really good flexibility on modifying breakfast choices to suit taste and appetite!

The car parking was a problem, but this wasn't anything to do with the Hotel.

Location was perfect, right next to the promenade and 100yards from the pier. Plenty of great cafés. I would recommend the Cottage Loaf for a relaxing drink and the food was superb.

Comfortable, nice staff, good breakfast, good location. Only reason it didn't get a 10 was the brocken window pane. Room 12 at Claremont, same building next door.. Would stay again.

Our room (No.12) was on the 3rd floor which meant 6 flights of stairs each way, which after a few pints was a little challenging. There is no lift. The room was adequate although in need of a makeover and deep clean. Strangely the window had 2 bars across it and did not open! The bathroom was large but the window did not close properly so it was quite cold and if you left the door open the draft could be felt in the bedroom.

Stayed here 23rd March 2024. Superb location with the beach and town centre just 1 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful and because our room was ready we were able to check-in before 3pm. Even though we were on the top floor the hot water from the tap was almost instant so no need to let it run. The cooked breakfast was substantial, well cooked and hot (10/10). Would definitely consider this accommodation again.

Everything was good so no complaints, had the room on ground floor, glad as I couldn't of done the stairs, think the back of property could of been tydied up, bit scary with window open ....

Staff very nice and bedroom so cosy breakfast very good , everything on plate But found it too much after the first one, so cut down too smaller portions ....

As we were given a rear room we had not much of a view, but sea view rooms are available. I think at an extra charge. This was not particularly important to us as we were out most of the day anyway.

Superb location very close to the pier, the promenade and the town centre. Numerous shops, bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Cooked breakfast always freshly made, using good quality ingredients. Room was nice, if a little tired, with a decent bathroom and good shower, and there was always plenty hot water. All staff were very friendly.

Parking was a bit of a problem however the hotel did have some parking permits if you were lucky enough to get a space which we did and there’s no lift so the climb to our top floor could be a bit challenging after an evening out but the view was worth it

The hotel’s location was good, on the beach and close to the theatre, bars and restaurants The breakfast was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful the rooms were a little small but comfortable and well appointed

Twin room was really tiny and the back alley was noisy at night. The difference between the regular rooms with a view, that were big enough to have a sitting area and even a couch, and the super tiny twin room was stark. I would not book the twin room for adults, but it would be fine for children. The bed in the king room was very soft & lumpy, and caused my father (nearing 80) severe pain. He chose to sleep sitting up in a chair after the first night, but was unable to participate in some of our activities because his back was hurt so bad by the mattress. This had not happened to him ever before. We had to buy him a cane. Time to get a new mattress, or a new mattress topper.

Front rooms have a wonderful view of the beach area. Location couldn’t be better; within walking distance of everything.

Parking is a issue but the owner very good and lets you have a pass if available!. Not having a fan in the room as it gets quite warm being high up Very noisy with windows open at night. Seaguls very noisy too, so it would of been handy to have a stand up fan. Then you could close windows.

Very good location nice sea view and close too attractions. Breakfast was very good. Topped up milk & biscuits daily. Shower gels shampoo left clean towels , flannels clean. Bedding smelled fresh.friendly staff.
