Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMore staff on duty @ reception would have been helpful. Our door was a pain to try and close/lock before leaving the room. The pillows on the bed were so uncomfertable, there was one wierd shape one then one large one. it meant one was too hard the other too soft, it was awkward to sleep on and both myself and partner struggled to sleep. Another downside was the breakfast is only continental and cold food and is extra on top of the room price. For £180 per room i would have thought breakfast to be included or at least for a sitting area not just main reception to grab and go. We also booked a queen room and was given a double room, not ideal as i have mobility issues and the bigger sized bed is more helpful for space between me and my partner so that he doesnt knock my leg after recovering from surgery.
The room was nice and well equiped, the bathroom in paticular was great. I like the feature of a plug socket being next to the full length mirror. The reception area & downstairs toilets were brilliant for meeting with friends before heading out.

New ZealandSadly (perhaps because we were on the thirteenth floor), very poor water pressure. The only negative for this Motel.
Excellent location, with a major Rail Station practically next door, that has a direct link with Manchester Airport. “Next door” also to the Manchester bus and tram system, which ensures you an ability to reach multiple places a visitor is likely to visit. As a bonus, there are also two major car rental companies located very nearby. Neither do you have to wander far to find a plethora of eateries and drinking establishments. Motel also offers a very modern bar area where one can relax with their choice of beverage, or simply move into a quieter corner to read or work on the computer. Absolutely brilliant. Reception on arrival was very welcoming and checking in very rapid and efficient. Also provided was an excellent complementary map of the greater Manchester area that will provide you with an excellent means to plan your travel within the city. The room was of a good size and with a portioning wall provides a feeling of being three rooms within one. One area contains a large comfortable bed with pillows of varying comfort ensuring you will be. A large screen television with an excellent array of channels is also provided here. In another corner is a sofa bed which if not used for this purpose, makes for a cozy lounge nook (or a place to store luggage). A third corner provides a table and seating from where one can work comfortably. Plenty of power outlets enable a multitude of options for any electrical items you are travelling with, and free Wi-fi throughout enables computing to be done anywhere within the building. The bathroom is of an adequate size and contains a shower with good water temperature.

United KingdomWhen checking in, I didn't like being being told that it was an extra £10 per room, per night, to stay in rooms that didn't have office windows a few fee away from the hotel, an extra £40 that I wasn't told about in advance.
We stayed in Motel One Piccadilly. last August and were impressed by the lovely people working in the hotel and the convenience of the location. Also, the rooms are well thought out, having plug sockets where they are needed and even a couple of European socket.
