The bed was very uncomfortable with a poor mattress. I would usually expect the bed to made each day and it was not. The bathroom was very tired and the shower gel had fallen off the wall . There was no non slip mat or handle by the shower and it was very slippery stepping in and out of the bath to use the shower. There was also some black mould in the bathroom. In addition, there was a band in the bar on Saturday which was so loud that we couldn't hear anything else and couldn't block it out with earphones

The breakfast menu set up was a bit weird. I realised too late that I couldn't have cereal and poached eggs for example because they were two different menus. The decor needs updating and the rooms were a bit shabby - but still they were clean and comfortable.

The beds were really comfy and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The quiz night was excellent.

The hotel is a bit tired, but for the price was good value.

For a budget hotel the room was comfortable and well equipped. Wi-fi was excellent. I tried the hotel menu for the evening meal, and despite being part of a chain, the meal was surprisingly tasty! Breakfast was excellent.

Nit great for people with physical limitations as lots of up and down stairs. Matt (manager I think) was slightly rude when telling us and people to drink up. Our room had leak in toilet and was moved to a nicer and larger room but when I asked for an upgrade on arrival was told none free but then we were moved to a much nicer room. Double rooms very basic but clean.

Across the road from our venue. Staff friendly at bar and changing our room. Food was nice and very helpful at breakfast as we arrived 10mins before closing and was very accommodating.

Facilities description included a desk - there was neither a desk or chair in my room. Would have liked an iron and board in the room but this wasn't a deal breaker.

Parking on site was easy and very welcome and being able to stay parked until 2359 on day of departure was REALLY helpful. Check in was quick and friendly. I had dinner at the bar - very keenly priced. Room was clean and bed was comfy - socket by the bed for charging was very convenient. Shower wasn't the most powerful but worked fine.

I didn't like the fact that the hot water was running all the time in the bathroom as it needed mending! What a waste of hot water!

We were welcomed back again by the staff. Our room was clean overlooking the beer garden. Our room had clean sheets and pillowcases all made up for a lovely night's sleep. We also had clean towels in the bathroom and extra pillows. The meals were great, maybe a little too much on the plate.

It was odd having to go down some stairs within the bedroom to the bathroom, which was a little basic but adequate.

20% discount off food if you ate in the pub restaurant which was a nice surprise. The food itself was lovely. Great choice on offer, too. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful.

Rooms are a little tired now, accessed via a long corridor or separate external door. Noise from cellar coolers and kitchen equipment can be a little intrusive with the window open.

Very convenient location for catching up with friends in Hull. Popular chain pub with a very good quiz night. Excellent staff in the morning and a decent freshly cooked brekkie. Good value budget accommodation.

We booked for food, as a tenant you get a discount of the food. But they did not have the burger my husband wanted to order. They also didn’t have the dessert I had been waiting to order… as a couple we were both disappointed with the food they had available. Also we booked for a specific time but they contacted us to say they were closing the kitchen early so could we come earlier or pre-book our food. We had also pre-paid for breakfast again to our disappointment, we were told they had no bacon but we were offered an extra sausage or egg… sorry but a breakfast is breakfast without bacon.

The room was lovely… all you need. Comfortable bed, TV, clean and convenient. Price was very reasonable for what you get. Good value for money.
