The hotel was a lot older than I expected and needs refurbishment. The carpets throughout look old, dirty and need replacing. There is a lack of any fitness facilities. The room is very small and basic.

You pay for the location here right on the seafront. The breakfast staff were very friendly too.

Just a couple of areas needed a good hoover or perhaps some new carpets. Corridors to rear room block feels particularly tired.

Great location nice entrance and coffee bar area. Hallways to rear wing very tired and not particularly clean. Room itself modest but good. Parking a huge plus. Would definitely use again for overnight trips to Brighton.

    • Classic room for 2 adults and 1 child Inland View

A sea view would have been great but I was too late to book a family room with sea view. The room was quite warm with three of us there and it wasn't a particularly warm day so may get hot in the summer

the desk staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly even giving my son a polly pop (after checking that it was okay with me). They made us feel very welcome and it was great to be able to leave the car in situ even after checking out. A lovely spot to explore Hove but also just a little walk into Brighton too. Nice family room with three beds which was great for us and a big bathroom

Everything was good but the carpet in the entrance lobby could have benefited from a good carpet clean. Sounds stupid but it would make a difference as it's the entrance to a lovely hotel.

Stayed for the Marathon weekend so possibly paid more than usual.

For £350, I would have expected a bigger and better room. The view out of the filthy window was not pleasant. The hotel layout makes it difficult to avoid steep stairs (the lifts only go so far) and signposting is confusing. You need to be fit with a good sense of navigation to stay here! Dinner was uninspiring, lacked atmosphere and the menu very limited.

The room was clean and had everything I needed. The location is perfect for the Brighton Marathon 10km.
