Not finished, toilets out of order. Car parking is confusing

Breakfast was a disaster. After a lovely meal the previous evening and a busy day ahead we looked forward to breakfast. The first issue we had was that we had to ask if the continental was included in the price. We were informed that it was. There was only apple juice (had to ask for refill), 3 slices of bread which consisted of only 1 brown crust end and 2 white slices, 2 yoghurts (1 was cracked) and dry savouries. After ordering a full breakfast each, we were offered tea/coffee which was promptly delivered. When breakfast arrived all looked good. I realised I had no toast ( it was on the menu ) only to be told I had to get my own from the continental bar, I didnt bother. So the issues with the food are as follows : Partners : sausage was badly undercooked. Poached egg undercooked. Tomato looked cooked but was cold. My Breakfast : 2 sausages undercooked, tomato looked cooked but cold in the middle, Black pudding cold, fried egg overcooked. We spoke to the waitress who apologised and said she would speak to the chef, and that we should speak with reception. The plates were just left on the table. Another waiter came over, apologised but did take the plates. He said that the kitchen could make some more for us. At no point during breakfast did anyone ask us if everything was okay with our food, unlike the previous evening with dinner. We had been at breakfast around 40 minutes altogether and had to leave so declined. We did speak to reception, he apologised (theme running) but didnt seem too interested. He did however tell us we didnt have to rush to be out of our room. When we went to leave and hand the key in, the receptionist was nowhere to be found, my partner had to walk through the bar and into the restaurant to find someone.

The restaurant and bar area were superb as you would expect following recent renovation. The room itself was adequate. Clean and spacious and served our needs. We had a lovely evening meal, excellent food and service and good value for money.

I was only the 5th person checked in after refurb so obviously a new process leading to breakfast being a bit of a faff. Ordered full English with scrambled eggs, then waitress only brings out scrambled eggs. Took 45 minutes to eventually get it.

Newly refurbished. Rooms are fine but bar/restaurant look incredible. WiFi was very fast, receptionist very friendly and helpful. Parking very good as well.

The staff at breakfast might need some more training. One of the members dropped some yoghurt on the floor whilst cleaning a table, no problem they thought I can just rub it into the carpet with my foot.......if that happens within sight of clients having breakfast what is going on behind the scenes?

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. No service to clean the room (minimal 6 nights). Had to pick up towels and toilet paper at the reception.

Breakfast was nice, could have been more selection on a Sunday morning. Staff worked hard to serve the guests, but couldn't fully cope with the demand - probably due to staff shortage.

Cold wind blowing in the room as the windows didn't fit properly. Towel rail was cold. Big stain on one of the chairs in the room.

The only drawback for me was the bedding. The pillows were those very inflexible faux ones that don't adjust well and the duvet got very hot. Really comfy mattress though. If I could offer a suggestion, adding a couple of softer pillows on the bed might cater for different tastes rather than 4 of the same kind. My nephew also found his pillows tricky. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Lovely building with ample car parking space. Set in a small village with a garage and local pub close by. We had dinner in the bar, which was fine. Very spacious room. Lovely and quiet - noticed very little traffic noise. There's an iron in the room, which was handy.

I arrived the previous evening to be informed that there was no chef available so no evening meal. very disappointed that a back of crisps sold at the bar for £2.50!!

The only problem was that there was no hot water for a shower in the morning and for one of the two nights!!!
