Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe hotel doesn't give a good first impression. The windows are dirty and the paintwork is peeling. Net curtains in the bedroom have holes in them and the curtains were hanging off the track. The bathroom was tired and needed a revamp. There was a huge sticker mark on the mirror and the bathroom door was peeling . Being a solo traveller, I didn't like the idea of a door to the next room in my room!
The bed was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was pleasant.

United KingdomThe external appearance of the hotel. Looks rather bedraggled and in need of updating. Continental breakfast ... shrivelled at the edges.
Ample parking. Close proximity to town. The room ... pleasantly surprised as expected far worse judging by the external appearance of the hotel.

United KingdomBreakfast was quite basic - store bought mini pastries, packet cheese and ham - and can tell it is in a period of refurbishment from the outside especially
On arrival we were worried it was shut down with the obvious work going on outside - but once inside the rooms are clean and good value! Pleasant staff

United KingdomAs others have stated the decor is a little tired. I could hear my noisy neighbours but to be honest I didn't contact reception as it didn't disturb me too much
Staff were very professional and hardworking and non intrusive. Available parking was a plus and Continental breakfast was included in the price and had a good fresh selection

United KingdomExtractor fan in bathroom not working, security device on bedroom door broken, hairdryer not working. Biggest problem was returned from a dance at midnight and couldn't get in. Rang the doorbell repeatedly, telephoned repeatedly, banged on the door repeatedly, no answer. Eventually walked around and banged on a window and finally got in. Next morning at breakfast met others who had a a similar experience. That's not good
Good continental breakfast.

United KingdomWhen the sat nav said that we’d arrived at destination we thought it must be wrong as there was no sign saying Jupiter hotel .. it looked shut up and empty.. just as we were going to leave I noticed an A4 paper saying Jupiter Hotel.. We arrived just after 3pm and fancied a drink but bar didn’t open till 5pm ( didn’t say that on description) luckily town centre was only 10 minute walk and there was plenty of pubs and restaurants. Breakfast is continental style, till 9.30am .. I got there at 9.15am no bread left for toast, not a lot of choice really.
Room was lovely.. tea, coffee etc, kettle iron , hairdryer .. comfortable bed .. plenty of car parking spaces .

United KingdomShower. Some upgrades needed but otherwise okay.
Very convenient location for the A1, and we stayed as a stopover on to elsewhere. The hotel could do with a little face lift at the front, the printed out sign of the hotel name, hopefully to be replaced with something more permanent. The staff were nice and we had a good room. The shower was disappointing but did the job for one night. Hair dryer was broken but the staff brought a new one to us immediately so good service. Breakfast was ok, some choice on the buffet. Overall, it's a good stopover location.

United KingdomThe place looked closed down when I arrived. The bar was only open 18:00 - 21:30 with no draft beer. No sound on most TV channels. Breakfast was very limited, and most of it looked inedible.
The bed was comfortable.

United KingdomWe initially thought the hotel had closed down as the signs had been removed. It appears that the hotel is in the midst of change to a Mercure so I expect this will be addressed soon enough.
Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bar was pleasant but limited beer choice, the dining room was also light and spacious and the continental breakfast was all I needed. The hotel was located on the edge of town, easy to get to and a short walk into town, perfect.
