There is just a tiny car park, with no spaces available on our trip. and we didn't know whether we could park on the harbour opposite, and the member of staff who we asked didn't seem to know either. Since the new road has been built there seems to be less parking spaces in Douglas then before, and large chunks of land have been taken up for pedestrians, which to me seems totally unnecessary and a waste of good parking space.

The Sefton is ideally situated in Douglas, close to the town centre, the beach and the ferry terminal.

The room had 3 rooms, bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. Plus it had a balcony. The 2 restaurants were very good.

The room a bit dated and needs a refurbishment . Having said that the beds were comfy and it was clean. The room price was fair considering its condition.

Walls are so thin, was woke by a crazy couple fighting next door to us had us awake from 2-7am! The swimming pool itself is clean but the changing room for women are disgusting, smelt of sewers and I washed my hair in the showers in it and my hair smelt of sewers too. Needs a good updo.

This is a hotel typical to the area. It has stairs and a slow lift. It's not a biggie but if you aren't very mobile, ask for a ground floor

Hotel decor albeit was fine, I think somewhere down the line a refurb on areas would be great improvement Example, hallways to bedrooms Change of paint colour, inexpensive panelling would be amazing

The interior of the hotel is looking tired in places. Surprisingly difficult to get a pint of bitter, even at times a pint of Guinness. Stuck to the wine which was a safer bet.

The staff on reception were exceptionally helpful. It did not matter who you saw, each member of the receptionist team went beyond the 'extra mile' to help out. The standard they set was incredibly high. Needless to say I have never experienced such superb service from any other hotel that I have stayed in.

There was work going on at the hotel and because of this there was a leak in one of the rooms.

Hotel car parking is somewhat restricted, not particularly easy to find and is chargeable. No immediate quiet bar area for guests, the first night we were there, there was a function on with a group which made the bar pretty much inaccessible and very noisy.

Staff extremely friendly and informative, housekeeping staff could not have been more helpful either. Room, clean and warm, beds comfortable, tea tray well stocked and very useful having the small fridge. Hotel position ideal for exploring Douglas. Pan Asian restaurant in hotel is excellent and well priced.

Covered in scaffolding despite assurances that this would be gone before our arrival. Our room was great, however the carpet and sofa have seen better days.

We stayed in room 315 with a see view. The windows in this room could not be opened which resulted in the temperature reaching 27 deg, C. This was uncomfortable and the staff were unable to help. This resulted in our assessment being good not excellent.

In general, with one exception ( see below) all was very good. The breakfast , location and the general ambiance of the hotel was enjoyable.

There was scaffolding outside the hotel which they didn't tell me about till a week before arrival but it wasn't a problem
