Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaOn the weekend, breakfast is not served until 9 am - a bit late if you want to get going. An area map would be helpful but not provided. Tv Remote was a bit temperamental and often would not turn the TV off . The heated towel rail in the bathroom seem to be stuck “on” which made the bathroom and room very hot / the knob at the bottom was too hot to turn it off and the switch outside the bathroom didn’t seem to work at all. The shower tap had part missing, but we could still turn it on and adjust with a little difficulty. The corners in the shower were streaked with black not sure if this was mould or I don’t know what and cover over the shower drain was not attached The water did not get away quickly in the basement or the shower. Also, the toilet and basin were not cleaned over our three night stay.
We loved The size of the room and huge bathroom and air-conditioning. The bed was very comfortable. Friendly Service… Great weekend full breakfast and it was very convenient to have dinner here - best chips on tour. Ducks in the garden were fun and you could buy a bit of feed for 50p to feed them. The kids loved it. We liked that it had a fan and hairdryer… And that tea coffee sugar and biscuits were replenished daily.

NetherlandsRoom was direct access from outside, straight in the terrace/playground. There was a noisy technical installation on the other side of a wall.
The hotel has a real english pub atmosphere. Menu was fine and much less boring than a typical Hotel restaurant. Personell in the Pub was excellent. Coffee at breakfast was excellent, other choices were very limited.

AustraliaWe had the Black Swan superior double room which was very spacious - decor was not modern however this was expected and was in keeping with the period of the property/presented as per the images on the site, The room itself was clean with the usual complimentary coffee/tea supplies. Bed was a little firmer than we are used to having in accomodations however it wasn't entirely uncomfortable as it didn't keep us awake! Shower pressure was average but we found the bathroom very warm as we were not able to work out how to turn the heated towel rails off, which is probably due to our unfamiliarity with this type of item. Room was initially a little overheated but we were able to open the window to allow cool air in. Would recommend some instructions for basic use of heating/shower operations.. a lot of the equipment is different to Australia and we found generally with all our accoms that we had to work out how to use things or, in some cases, not use them at all due to lack of instruction. Location suited us for a midway point to our next destination and, with parking and breakfast included in the price, it represented good value. Breakfast was cooked independently - not served buffet style - which was good as it allowed you to customise the way eggs were served however there was some cereals/fruit available on nearby table to also help yourself to along with juices.

United KingdomThe only adverse comment is that our evening meal did take a while to be served as we ordered from our room and advised that we would be in the bar dining area at 20:00 but we were not served until 20:30, however, that was perhaps understandable, as there was a private function in the main salon ... 🤔😉🤫 There was a bit of landscaping going on in preparation for the summer trade but it did not affect our stay ... 🤫
The duty manager was very accommodating with our late arrival, which we had advised in advance, and he made sure that we did not miss out on our evening meal with the kitchen due to close at 20:00. Also, Linzi at breakfast made sure that we had prompt service as we had to be on the road early to ensure that we were back in Moscow, Ayrshire, in time for the football match on Sky ... 😉😎🤫 Also, the Cheshire IPA hit the mark ... 😉

United KingdomThe base of the bed was very hard wood and sticking out. My wife and I were continually banging our legs on it when we were walking past. I didn’t appreciate them closing the bar at 9.15pm because there were not many people drinking. They should at least stick to their opening hours.
Very clean and good value for money.
