The breakfast was very good but could do with yoghurt and fruit as an alternative. The room was very clean and comfortable. The morning staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable.

The overall cleanliness of the room was ok but when you looked closely there was lots of dust, on sockets, on top of the headboard (fabric), on the lamps and the wood in the bathroom needs replacing especially around the sink etc as it’s got wet over the years and the paint is pealing and the wood is going rotten.

They made me a special chicken rost dinner when I arrived as I didn’t eat anything on the menu. Breakfast was ok but other than the cooked breakfast there wasn’t much choice with the other bits like milk, cereal, yogurt etc it may have been because I was the only guest eating breakfast. The cooked breakfast’s there was lots of choice and the full cooked English breakfast was beautiful and very hot and would definitely have it again if I stayed again.

The rooms really do need a bit of money spending on them now. They are looking very tired. In my room Wallpaper is peeling , paint becoming old and bathroom was water damaged and needed freshening up.

It makes you relax as soon as you get there. Great food and staff Visited multiple times.

Barmen and breakfast guy went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

Noisy guests in another room, slamming doors continually throughout evening and later into night. Strange manageress, who was not so warm and almost felt like she was forcing any friendliness.

Great location by the river with wonderful walks surrounding, superb breakfasts and other meals. Warm and inviting. Great shower.

Shower was pointing towards the floor and not much pressure. Tv advertised but only 3 channels. We were not happy about driving down the county lanes in the dark so decided to stay in and watch a film, unfortunately not possible.

The staff and food were faultless. Rooms a nice size. Lovely location on the river, although a tight drive through county lanes to get there. Cold on arrival as there was a problem with the delivery of gas, but we were given an electric heater which was great.

reported leaky shower, leaking ceiling in reception, strong smell of bleach each day, had dogs, we took poo bags in car to dispose of as there weren't any dog bins anywhere on site, nor on approach to pub, did say i'd like to have poo bins on return, as locals didn't pick up poo, found outside entrance and on car park, left by others. felt like greens and vegtables, these where hard to find on menu soup was fabulous, leak and potatoe, but no bread for £7, thought menu could be tweeked for the better

breakfast day 1, salmon and eggs = fabulous day 2, advocao, eggs and tomatoe, not so good, advocado was mashed like guacomole, lemon and chilli added, wasn't offered alternative, didn't expect it to be so awful day 3, full english = superb, staff where happy, smiley and a joy to be around, could not have been more helpful
