Absolutely nothing.

The Bear at Burton is fabulous. We loved the communal areas that were chic and relaxed with areas where you could enjoy the company of friends and also areas such as the library where you could chill, read the papers etc. The decor is cheerful, colourful and smart throughout. The manager and her staff were wonderful, courteous and extremely helpful. We were a group of 11 and everyone loved their bedrooms. A big thank you to Tania and her team.

I had sausage scrambled eggs black pudding baked beans and toast. Staff, Emma. Was flexible with the menu which was excellent. Only reason i didn't have the full breakfast was i was still podged from the evening meal the night before. Which was so, so tasty.Emma was attentive helpful and obliging. Now that i have been and sampled the Food, rooms and everything that is on offer, i will certainty re book in the coming months. Thanks again Emma. See you soon.

Stairs were steep when negotiating with 3 dogs but we are being picky.

Extremely dog friendly especially when travelling with 3 dogs. Area was quiet, rooms were exemplary. Recommended if your travelling with pets. Food was well presented, and lots of choice. Staff were friendly and happy. overall, it was a Beary good stay.

The breakfast was excellent! My partner said that the cooked breakfast was ‘the best he’d had in a long time’, - I agree. We also chose the really good granola, with fruit compote and creamy Greek yoghurt. There were other choices. We had a 3 course meal in the evening that was also excellent - especially the fruit crumble!

Nothing, it was perfect.

Best breakfast ever! Can only speak of the Full English as that was what we had, but other choices looked great too. Staff were all friendly and very professional, nothing was too much trouble. The room was delightful, comfiest bed ever, the shower was powerful and simple to operate. We were struck by the quietness and peacefulness of the location, lovely atmosphere. too. In short, it's the best place we've stayed in for a very long time.

Didn't like is too strong, but although I was provided with a Continental Breakfast, that I took up to my room after my evening meal, I would have preferred the option of a cooked breakfast. With the Breakfast Room only opening at 8.00am, it didn't allow me time to have Breakfast and get to my 8.30am meeting; particularly with the local flooding.

I just thought that generally, the Bear ticked all my boxes.

Amazing staff. Went above and beyond to ensure breakfast was expedited speedily due to our tight schedule. To say they are dog friendly is understated. Our dog had more attention than humans! from blankets in the bar to his own bowl, treats and toy in the room it was fantastic attention to detail. definitely going back
