The room was very well laid out, clean and comfortable, plenty of space. Well equipped and modern. Breakfast was very generous and delicious and host very accommodating and very friendly. The guest house is very well placed for Alton Towers, about 15 minutes drive and we loved being able to walk into Cheadle to get dinner and anything else we needed. We had a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend and return.

Ideal location for exploring Cheadle and environs. Love the history of the house and the tranquility of the rear garden. Very clean, comfortable - and a wonderful night’s sleep! The breakfast was great: much choice and fabulous friendly and attentive service!

The Guest House is in a perfect location 10-15 minutes away from Alton Towers resort we were staying at the CBeebies the following night so decided to travel down the night before. Check in was effortlessly executed with excellent communication leading up to our trip including specific google maps directions to the car park at the property as there is a one way system in place at the location. Our host Agnes met us first thing on the morning and made us feel welcome accommodating our various breakfast needs a very family friendly atmosphere even looking after our rowdy two year old. There is a beautiful ornamental Carp Pond on the grounds too. The garden area was beautiful in mid February I can only imagine how good it would be in the summer. There are plenty of amenities within a 5 minute walk too. We will definitely be staying again!

Everything was 10 stars hospitality,food,room,host exceptional and lovely .location perfect we had the best Xmas eve ever right next to the town set in a beautiful quiet area which was picturesque. We will return later in the year

Very minor things. If there had been room, a couple of easy chairs to sit on in the room would have been nice. Re breakfast, a plate warmer would have been good as the breakfast went cold quickly. Sausages and bread were not good - poor quality. Rest was lovely.

Can't think of a single thing

We booked this hotel which was quite close to the venue for my sister's wedding. The room was very spacious with a double bed and single bed which was extremely comfortable. Agnes the host was incredible, what a woman who turned her hand to everything and worked really hard. It had snowed quite a bit the night before and she was up clearing the snow first thing in the morning. This was in addition to make sure that everyone was happy and comfortable and enjoying their breakfast in the morning. She just continued to go the extra mile (you will know what we mean Agnes) and nothing was too much trouble. It is a pleasure to experience such great customer service in this day and age. We would recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning - thank you :)

My only negative would be the walls in the room are quite thin and the doors to go in to rooms are a bit stiff to close, leading to guests having to 'bang' them closed which was very loud in our room, could be a problem if trying to sleep!
