We stayed for one night in July. The location was great, just across the road from the sea.The hotel was clean and welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. Room facilities were excellent and the evening meal and breakfast were to a high standard.

What a lovely hotel, in the beautiful village of Ravenglass. The pub and the restaurant are lovely, thank you for the vegan options! The room wasn't large, but was very well equipped and was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Ravenglass.

It seemed a quiet room during the day. But by night we noticed there was a low humming noise all night from the extractor fan/fridges, not sure what it was. Then of course when the kitchen staff came in early the noise did get a little louder. As our room was situated over the kitchen, so maybe ask for another room next time.

Watched a lovely sunset over the sand dunes across the bay towards the Irish sea. A lovey place to stay, Cumberland breakfast amount just right and dinner menu had a wide selection. We ate there both nights. Friday night we tried, starters Pork & Apple Terrine, Date & Apple Chutney, Salad & Toasted Brioche £7.95, then Lakeland Lamb & Apricot Tagine, Herbed Cous Cous, Tzatziki & Flatbread £18.95 and Scampi, homemade Chips and Garden Peas was ordered, we both enjoyed our dishes. On Saturday we both ordered Lamb rump and Celeriac dauphinoise, Green beans, Broccoli and Cabbage and it was so so good from the special menu. And the Stick Toffee Pudding, well what can I say.....very tasty.

I could not fault anything with the hotel or its facilities

All of the meals we had were freshly prepared and excellent. The Bar/lounge area is very comfortable and the there is a very good range of drinks - including real ale.

I thought the food was really good value for money and the portion sizes very generous. The Dinner/Bed & Breakfast is the best option for a stay as the allowance is very cost effective and there is a great range of choice. The room was very spacious and had a lovely view of the bay. The staff are very friendly and most helpful. Always a pleasure to stay there, as this was my third time visiting. I took my sister for an early Birthday treat and we had a great weekend.
