This being really critical, but no hairdryer in room

Staff were friendly, food was amazing, rooms were basic but clean.

Very busy saturday night but a large table (5/6 persons) reserved by manager? using laptop. Not customer focussed with many visitors awaiting seating!

Good value food. Friendly staff. Full English breakfast very good. Excellent beer garden.

There was not anything which we did not like, it was what we expected.

The breakfast was really nice, and it was very filling so kept us going for longer then normal. The room was good, we had stayed in it previously so it was nice to back in there. - staff were always friendly and helpful.

Room (4) we had the heating wasn’t working. Thin walls so we could hear a particularly noisy neighbour talking to himself and coughing.

Top class food and welcoming staff. Good pub atmosphere.

Windows could do with Double glazing as traffic did wake us up a few times during the night.

I had to vacate my room after 1 night due to a very bad smell from the toilet but was delighted with the upgrade shame about the owners bad attitude he needs to learn some good customer relation unfortunately i will not be returning to the Royal again in the future which is a shame as it ruined my break

The water supply in the shower was boiling and we just couldn’t manage to adjust it. Staff were informed and I’m sure it will be rectified.

The rooms were a little worn but very clean and comfortable for one night. Would definitely stay there again for a night or two.

Toilet made a horrible noise when flushed and then dripped for 1/2 hr. Shower temperature didn’t get hot just warm. Owners dog barking every time someone came in.

There was a broken lamp in the room and the road was a little noisy.

Friendly staff and a comfy bed. I liked that you can get single occupancy rates, not all places have that it and it can get expensive when you are paying for things on your own.

Could hear the music beat from the bar until 11.30pm. Extractor fan possibly from the kitchen came on at 7am. Lighting not good difficult to read in bed.

Comfortable bed lovely pillows. Ensuite facilities clean and convenient. All usual facilities available in the room.

The shower was very hot and caused a lot of condensation (a staff member tried to work out how to turn it down but couldn't do it either)There was so much condensation on the bedroom windows each morning I had to mop the windowsill with a towel. The dessert for evening meal was poor value for money.

The room was very clean, modern and warm, with a comfortable bed and feather pillows. The main course for dinner was very good. The bar/ restaurant area looks lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like; we failed to pre-book a table for dinner in advance _ underestimating both it's popularity and the impact of seasonal events in the village; we were therefore unable to dine in however we enjoyed a great nights sleep and enjoyed a hearty breakfast the following morning.
