Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My kettle would keep turning off halfway through and not reach quite boiling, but you can get it to almost boiling by patiently holding the button down. This was drawn to the attention of the young lady at breakfast time.
The location is lovely, the village is very nice and conveniently located for other travel around the area. The room I had was Room 4 which overlooks the side of the property and is on the first floor. Attractively decorated and pleasantly sized. The residential areas are a bit higgledy piggledy so if you have accessibility issues, maybe not for you. The stairs are steep and a little narrow but Shane, the owner carried my case for me. I stayed on a Friday night and although from the sounds, it was busy, as a light sleeper, I still managed to get to sleep through some raucous but good hearted voices. The breakfast room was bright (sunny day outside) and airy and my Fried Eggs on brown toast, was perfectly cooked with runny eggs!!! I really enjoyed my stay and would very happily stay again....and perhaps try one of Shane's noted and publicised pies!

parking not on premise and its a short walk to the central car parking area.

Nice accommodation in central location for our needs. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and evening meals were very good with wide selection of dishes. We ate there every evening of our stay. Good sleep - very quiet.

Strict time (understood before booking) meal at night - if started within time slot you should be able to continue to order ie pudding. Breakfast between 8-9 could be a bit later and exiting the room is more comfortable at 11am not 10am

Staff Food, good range, great quality very reasonable. Breakfast, good quality and well cooked. Spotless. Just nice when people put effort in, better than it needs to be. Bed.

Parking isn't actually on site but very close by in the local village so not too much of an issue, just something to be aware of if you have a few bags. Kitchen is upstairs where the bedrooms are so room did have a smell of fried food/cooking.
A very lovely stay! The staff were great - I was travelling alone and really appreciated how welcoming and accommodating they were. It was a very cosy room with good facilities, everything was clean and the food was great. A very friendly village pub. Breakfast was great, too!

The weather!
Excellent dinner menu, breakfast prepared to order and nicely presented. Rooms well equipped, beds very comfortable. Would recommend this inn to anyone. Efficient and friendly staff.

Floors and bed a little creaky Bar was busy, so couldn’t sit down there, but ate upstairs No parking, so it was on the street, I was lucky Faulty lamp plug in the bedroom

All good!!
I have stayed before when working in the area. Different room this time which was more spacious that the last room I stayed in. Had a dressing table that was suitable for working at. Both breakfast and evening meal were very good. Staff lovely. Good value for money. I would recommend and I would use again.

Absolutely nothing to complain about
Friendly, welcoming staff. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Very good evening meal and breakfast. Perfect for an overnight stay but would’ve been good for a longer stay as there were plenty of cupboards and wardrobe space. Wi-Fi a little temperamental, but not too problematic. Property does not have its own parking, but there was plenty of free parking nearby.
