We stayed here in nov , and wanted to come back in a warmer month to explore the city . We know they have a late license and you can hear the music but to be honest it did not disturb your sleep. And it great check in and checkout time and breakfast is lovely

A nice room right in the city centre, in a lively setting.

Our room faced the street, and we were unlucky enough to be woken up several times by loud voices in the street, and also by someone banging on the front door at 2am because they must have forgotten their door key. The window is east facing, and the curtain lets in a lot of light, which woke us up extra early. So I would definitely ask for a room at the back next time.

The location is very good if you want to be right in the middle of town, and it is great that it comes with free parking spaces. The room was quite large and comfortable, and breakfast was generous. The staff and ambiance are very friendly. This is a rather lively place, more suited to people who don't mind music being played late in the pub downstairs than to people who are looking for a quiet place.

Perfect place to stay for a few nights in Chichester

When the shower was turned on the shower head would fall out of it's holder so you had to hold it while having a shower.

All staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean. Having a bath in the room and being able to have a long soak after walking around all day was a real bonus! The breakfast menu had a good range of options and was all cooked very well and tasted lovely. The Vestry is in an excellent location and is just a short walk from the centre of Chichester. We stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening and didn't hear any noise from the bar below.

Good value for money - but avoid disco nights

We were warned that Thursday could be disco noisy until the early hours, earplugs were thoughtfully provided, but the noise exceeded all expectations. There is nothing that can be done about this (even the bed shook!) But ensure that the warning is made VERY prominent in promotional material. Would stay again if a stay could avoid 'noisy' nights.

Breakfast was excellent, cheerfully served and a good selection of fresh food. All the staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and proactive. Lovely big room and spacious bathroom. Well stocked hospitality tray in our room.

Although we knew about the the late night music licence we didn’t expect it to be DRUM &BASE until 2 Ann , the earplugs they supplied were a waste of time.

Location was excellent, free parking, food good.

The local Chichester one-way road system! The Satnav took us to the front of the hotel (reasonable) but the hotel car park (only 10 spaces) is at the rear - a 2 minute walk but a 15 minute drive!

Very helpful staff at checkin and throughout. The room was bigger than most hotel rooms these days, plenty of room to 'swing a cat' should we wish to do so, the bathroom was also a good size. Complimentary tea/coffee etc was plentiful. The large bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room was warm. The hotel is right in the centre of town and only a few minutes work from shops, cafés and the tourist locations. The train station is only about 100yds over a footbridge (at the rear of the hotel). The individually cooked 'full English' breakfast is highly recommended. The pub on the ground floor of the building looks most interesting but unfortunately we had no free time to sample it - we were warned that it gets very busy and noisy on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Although the Booking website says they have a music licence until 3am on certain nights I think it should be more obvious at the time of booking. Ear plugs are provided in the room but it’s still possible to hear the music.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, good cooked breakfast and the rooms clean and comfortable. Parking is a bonus in the city centre.
