Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Vanessa took our booking and questions with a smile and genuine care. The food was good. We had 4 dogs between our party of 3 people and there were big gardens around the property. A small amble down the side of the hotel. The cost of the dogs were £8.50 each however long we stayed. Which is excellent when you are costing accomodation. The rooms were wide enough for us to manoeuvre around the dogs comfortably. We were Located on the ground floor near exits so it helped for walks. The place has a friendly feel and despite very discreet development works for the bar and toilets during the day in progress. We heard very little during the day in the dining room I don't usually right reviews but after our recent 2 other stays down south this place was easy and welcoming. Thank you. Great value.

A few thinks need attention and smartening up.
Accomodation came with free breakfast which was really good. There was plenty of parking.

Liked the hotel very much as staff were very welcoming & friendly. The food was also excellent Our stay was it spoiled by the two inconsiderate dog owners with the Isle of Man registered van, parked at the back of the hotel next to our rooms. These owners thought it was appropriate to leave their two German wire haired pointers & two German Shorthaired pointers to whine & bark in their van outside the bedroom windows at the back of the hotel, with no regards to other people staying at the hotel or local residents. These owners, also thought it was appropriate to come in & out of the fire door at the end of corridor which made a noise each time they did this, instead of using the other door to access the corridor My friend & I also had our dogs with us in rooms opposite these inconsiderate dog owner & not once did our dog bark or make a noise when you & your dogs were moving to & from your room frequently late at night & in the early morning.

Only had one problem which was that it was cold in our room but after going to reception and having a word they turned up the heating for us and advised that there was a heater in our room that we could put on.
Great accommodation, being renovated at the moment but didn’t cause any problems. The food in the restaurant was first class and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking for residents.

Not enough tea/coffee in room but could have asked for more staff was friendly enough to sort and prices in restaurant was bit high and was on top floor my husband struggled abit with this due to illness

Shower head didn't stay up and flopped down so had to be held, but a minor issue but needs repair. Some minor marks on the bathroom wall. Worst thing was several guests noisily returning between 3am and 4am that made no attempt to be considerate of other guests.
The room was good value for money and warm. I found the bed comfortable but my wife didn't. Full English breakfast was excellent, freshly made, good quality and tasty.

Was on the top floor and didn’t like how small it felt, but it was a cosy room with a small bathroom.
Very quaint and old fashion but clean. Had everything in the room like tea&coffee iron and board, hairdryer

No information in room or fire instructions, dated room. Room 21 I assume had not been renovated yet as other rooms appeared more modern
