Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Just in need of updating and maintenance. Lift not working and were on 3rd floor Handle dropped off window
Great location lovely family pub next door and only 10 minute walk to the club to see a local band.right next to a shopping area. Gorgeous views.staff and residents friendly Rooms were clean and comfortable just need updating

As a non smoker it smelt like some one had previously smoked in the room.

Missed not having option to eat onsite,knew beforehand but would have been great to pop down to eat. Lift wasn't working, but reception did offer to carry my case up for me.
Good location for my onward travels, large room, comfy clean bed and bathroom was clean and towels plenty full. Reception was welcoming and friendly.

Our room was overlooking the main Road which wasn’t a problem, but the noise from the passing vehicles took a bit of getting used to.

Been using it for years and it's now looking very 'tired'. Lift hasn't worked for at least two years. Rooms need upgrading. Bathrooms definitely need refreshing...All-in-all, slowly declining, which is a shame as it has lots of potential.
Handy for frequent buses to centre. Pub/restaurant attached. Cheap.

Wasn't any shampoo/shower sachets in bathroom but it's a budget hotel.
It's cheap and cheerful. Stayed here numerous times over 7 years and naturally looking a bit 'tired' (aren't we all‽) but basically a nice hotel in a super location. Spacious free car park. Good bus service into the town centre. Tea and coffee making facilities in room and kitchenette available if you bring your own food, although a very decent chain pub/ restaurant literally next door. As a budget hotel, I would recommend.

Bathroom fan was full with dust.
Comfortable bed and hotel in general was accessible for my blind wife, despite the lift being out of order. Cleanliness in the general area of the room was to a good standard.

The stairs. We had dogs with us so it was 3 trips up and down the stairs each time we arrived and left. Bags up, cages up then dogs up. We left utterly exhausted.

The carpet was dingy and stained and the room furniture a bit battered.
The room was spacious. The complimentary tray was generous. There was plenty of parking. Although on a main road, there was a field and public footpath on which to walk the dog on the other side of the road.

All good other than that mentioned about it needing a freshen up.
Location was convenient being just off the motorway and the price was good. Room was a good size for two adults with clean sheets and comfortable bed. Good having 24hr manned reception, as we arrived after 10pm and left before 7am. A little tatty around the edges but perfect for our purpose of a short stop over.

Decor is a bit dated and could do with a spruce up, but not bad for the price
The staf were lovely and friendly. Plenty parking onsite. Great location just off the A1. Room was clean and a good size. It was a really really hot weekend and they provided a fan which was appreciated.
