The staff were absolutely fantastic and we would definitely come back again as we had a great stay, the only thing was the dinner wasn’t brilliant, but not terrible.

Fantastic location, great atmosphere, lovely Christmas decorations and the staff were wonderful!

    Everything was great!

Lovely rooms above the pub. Great facilities, room had iron, ironing board, hairdryer, Nespresso coffee machine!, kettle and teas and coffees. Bed was really comfy and room and bathroom very clean. Great value for money. We’d definitely stay there again. Great roast dinner on Sundays!

Not the hotels fault at all, but noisy, inconsiderate guests in room above. Walking around very heavily from 5am onwards, letting the fire doors bang with no thought for others or indeed the hotel. Wish people would think of others and be more considerate when staying in a hotel.

Always a wonderful atmosphere at the Village Inn, its cosy, welcoming and very homely. Rooms are comfortable, well decorated and have lovely facilities. Staff are really lovely and you are always met with a smile. Really love it here, its a great place👌.

    nothing

We stayed several nights at this pub and began to feel like family! Can't say enough good things about the staff - so incredibly helpful and friendly. We just loved waking up in the AM and stumbling down for a full, delicious breakfast in the quaint dining room overlooking the Loch. We ate dinner there several times as well... and went across the hall to the pub to listen to live local musicians and get to know some locals. In contrast to the authentically old pub area, our room was modern, clean and large with lots of windows. It was also far enough away from the pub/restaurant that we were never bothered by noise. Arrochar as a town is a great location for exploring the area. Next time I would make use of the train that stops there to go to Oban (distances in Scotland are MUCH farther than they appear on the map!)

The only option for breakfast was a cooked breakfast which I do not enjoy. Although there were many different options, there was no option for a simple bowl of cereal and some toast. In fact this is the first property I have ever visited where there was no option to have toast and marmalade/jam. I asked but the waitress just said no...I could have extra toast and butter but nothing sweet. Luckily we had been self catering and we had bread and jam in the car from the previous morning. However it was disappointing to have to fetch it and eat it in the room afterwards. Come on Village Inn...a box of cornflakes or even as you are Scottish, some porridge surely would not have been too much to ask.

Comfy room. Lovely setting. Good price.
