Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBefore booking I read a review that mentioned the noise from the road at the front, and requested a quiet room. When I arrived the receptionist offered either a 4th floor room to the front with a view of the sea, or a rear first floor room with a view of the pool. I forgot my need for peace and opted for the front option, and I really wished I hadn't. The noise from the road at the front is extremely loud, and lasts most of the night. If you like some semblance of peace don't choose a front facing room. With the balcony door open I could not hear the TV, or myself think. The beds were not comfortable. My bed was hard and sloped downwards. Everywhere above the ground floor appears tired and in need of refurbishment. Bathroom was old and shower needed replacement. Wasn't entirely sure if my door locked so I leaned my case against it. On check out the man at reception kept using his phone when I was checking out. It was difficult to know who he was talking to, which was frustrating. Please pay attention to one thing and do it well!
The main thing going for Congo Palace is its location. It is close to the sea and various coffee shops etc. Staff are pleasant, although not particularly enthusiastic. Ordered room service and the food was good.

United KingdomRoom was small even for single standard, noisy fridge which i unplugged. Shower curtain didn't reach the base, so the floor was flooded. No bottled water on offer or tea and coffee making facilities.

ZambiaThe bar, restaurant and al fresco in front of hotel closed, insufficient signs and notices to guide a visitor what to do for food and beverages. Parking is a nightmare. The rooms need a complete renovation and the common areas upstairs need that too. Wasn’t pleased with Asians leaving room doors wide open and with them eating food in common areas then dumping trash and leaving dirty dishes in hallways. This used to be a high class hotel!
Location, close to Glyfada center nothing else.

United KingdomIt’s on the main road, which at night becomes a drag strip for very loud motorbikes and cars. It was too noisy for us to sleep in a room facing the road, we changed to a smaller room facing the pool in order to sleep.
Decent hotel, close to restaurants and cafes in Glyfada. Nice pool with small bar onsite, friendly staff. Convenient for trams or bus to get to beaches.

AustraliaThe staff were not very friendly. Pool towels were strictly for within pool area. The buffet breakfast was ordinary eggs were cold coffee was terrible with long life milk offered. We have stayed there many times before but there appears to be new management and will never stay there again. Didn’t make you feel welcome. We requested a late checkout and gave us 1 hour and staff continually harassed us to leave.
Is central to the shops and metro.
